Fluorescent Lighting: The Dirty Secret
Hillary Clinton MrsSatan
Fails To Report Family Charity
From The WaPo:
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton failed to list on annual Senate financial disclosure forms the family charity she operates with former president Bill Clinton, The Washington Post reported on Tuesday.
Sen. Clinton, a Democratic presidential contender, has been an officer in the family foundation since it was established in 2001, but none of her ethics reports since then have disclosed that fact as required by congressional ethics rules, the newspaper said.
The foundation has enabled the Clintons to write off more than $5 million from their taxable income since 2001, while dispensing $1.25 million in charitable contributions over that period, the newspaper reported.
[...]
"The details of the Clintons' charitable family foundation and Senator Clinton's role in it have always been publicly available but, in an oversight that leaders of both parties have made, it was inadvertently omitted from her Senate filing, which has been corrected," Clinton's spokesman Philippe Reines told the newspaper.
No...no...it's not "an oversight" or "after examining our records"...it's more like
Her defenders will need to drink extra quantities of Kool-Aid to fend off legitimate and justified criticism on this one.
Oh...gee...did the WaPo NOT mention she failed to do the above filing FIVE - yes, 5 - times. Huh, they didn't. Yeah, this little disclosure oversight happened FIVE times. That's all.

Al Gore: Global Warming Is A Moral Issue
Hmmmmmmmmmmm....I didn't know the Democrats are now championing moral issues. Especially after decades of their previous mantra that the government should stay completely out of moral issues. Dems told us for years that it was only the Republican ideology that wanted to legislate moral issues.
The Dems aren't Flip-Flopping now, are they?

Government Intervention In Everything:
A Liberal's Clarion Call
I read a post at a liberal blog that blamed President Bush for the salmonella outbreak in peanut butter. The writer's logic, you see, is that industrial agriculture company, Con Agra, had contributed large sums of money to the Bush campaigns, therefore Bush looked the other way and allowed Con Agra to ship tainted peanut butter onto grocery store shelves. Brilliant logic, so reasoned in a factual and accurate basis, isn't it? Any proof offered by the writer that his allegations are true? No - but that's what he believes.
Another liberal writer, at a different liberal blog, says she's aghast that there is no law on the books specifying the maximum amount of time an airplane is allowed to sit on the tarmac before it hits the runway. This post, of course, was after Jet Blue's admittedly poor handling and performance of keeping passengers on a plane that never got airbound because of snowfall and blizzard conditions.
Who pays the price when government steps in and regulates or over-regulates private business? The costs of any imposition by government into a private business will be passed onto the customer. When this happens the Liberal Crowd cries that the new cost of the goods or services has risen too high. Then the same Liberal Crowd looks again to the government to "do something" about the high cost. It's a vicious and never-ending circle executed by Liberals who never want to assume any personal responsibility. When Liberals are wronged, it's always the fault of someone or something else.
Are there some customer-business relationships that can be resolved between the customer and the business without the government stepping in to "fix" things? Of course, but not if you drink from the Liberal jug of Kool-Aid.
Medical, dental and health industries obviously need some degree of government involvement. So does anything related to transportation, food and agriculture, construction and communication companies, to name just a few.
OSHA, the FAA, the NTSB, the FCC, the FDA are all good examples - for the most part - of agencies that primarily do good stuff in keeping a majority of people safe. And despite the exaggerated catcalling from the Left over hurricane Katrina, FEMA - overall - has done exemplary work for people affected by disasters. None of these agencies are perfect, not by a long shot. No agency is or ever will be perfect. Humans err and as long as agencies have human involvement and participation, occasionally errors will happen. "That's Life", as Frank Sinatra sings so eloquently.
The Left seems to be calling for the creation of a new federal agency, one that I name "The Department of Never Having To Suffer An Inconvenience". Instead of attempting to work things out on their own with private businesses that will sometimes fail and disappoint the consumer, the Left would prefer that government do it for them. Is this absurd or should we pity the feeble and weak self-willed Lefties who want the government to wet-nurse them from cradle to grave?

Democrats Continue Living In The Past
Democrats in the US are planning a challenge to President George W Bush's handling of the war in Iraq.
Key senators are drafting legislation that would revoke the broad authority granted to the president in 2002 and replace it with a narrower mandate.
The text has not been finalised, but it is expected to restrict the role of US troops and start bringing them home.
It will face opposition from Republican senators, who have twice blocked a resolution criticising policy in Iraq.
Democratic aides have said the proposal could restrict US troops in Iraq to fighting al-Qaeda, training Iraqi forces and protecting Iraq's borders.
Majority Leader Harry Reid could present it to lawmakers next week when they return from break.
Officials say the precise wording is still being hammered out.
Some Democrats want to totally revoke the 2002 authorization which granted President Bush the power to use the armed forces to defend the nation against what the resolution described as "the continuing threat posed by Iraq." The reasoning now is that threat no longer exists.
Michigan Congressman Dave Camp, a Republican from Midland, says he supports the president's surge plan, saying reinforcements in Iraq are essential. To do otherwise, Camp said, would "handcuff" U.S. troops.
Harry Reid (and I think Tricky Dicky Durbin, behind him) Looking Oh-So-Sad After Last Weeks' Failed Non-Binding Resolution In The U.S. Senate. You feel badly for them, don't you?
On Monday, the 19th, I wrote:
Harry Reid, Real Estate Mogul and Big Time lobbyist for Big Dairy and Big Lubricants - who also manages to find time to be the Democrat Senator from Nevada and Majority Leader - said he would not bring the resolution up again.
Reid, by saying he won't bring it up again, of course means it's just a matter of time until he reintroduces it or introduces a similarly themed resolution.
1-House Non-Binding Resolution Passed
2-Senate Non-Binding Resolution Didn't Pass
3-A "Re-Vote" On The Original 2002 Vote To Authorize War
4-Dems will say, "We've done everything we can to bring this war to an end."
5-Dems Will Move To Defund The Military...
...But they - of course - will say they support the Troops. Dems...they're such Patriots!

Jose Padilla Suffering From Stress...Anxiety
Dr Hegarty said after a 22-hour examination of the suspect that Mr Padilla had suffered from intense stress and anxiety following three-and-a-half years in custody as an "enemy combatant".
Mr Padilla claims he was tortured while being held on a brig at Charleston, South Carolina, a charge that officials deny.
The psychiatrist said Mr Padilla suffered from a facial tic, problems with social contact, lack of concentration and a form of Stockholm Syndrome, by which people in captivity sympathise with their captors.

Wrath Of Khan...Phyllis Kahn
State Rep. Phyllis Kahn is pushing to extend Minnesota's 6.5 percent sales tax to cosmetic surgery and appearance-enhancing procedures including chemical skin peels, laser hair removal, cosmetic injections and spider vein treatments.
Anybody who has the money for plastic surgery can afford to pay the tax, said Kahn, a Minneapolis Democrat.
"There aren't a lot of homeless people and there aren't a lot of people who don't have enough money for food who are getting optional cosmetic surgery," she said.
New Jersey is the only state that taxes cosmetic surgery, collecting an estimated $11 million this year. But plastic surgery taxes have caught the attention of lawmakers in Texas, Illinois and Washington in recent years as a potential new source of revenue.
Kahn said her proposal would raise about $7 million a year.
Most of that money would come from the bank accounts of hardworking women, said Dr. Richard D'Amico, president-elect of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons near Chicago. He said 90 percent of plastic surgery patients are female, with annual incomes averaging about $60,000.
"It hurts working women who save up their money and work hard and try to do something for themselves once in a while," he said.
Well, it's safe to say Phyllis - so far - hasn't had any 'work done' on her face!

Other Democratic hopefuls, including Sens. Joe Biden and Chris Dodd, have said the flag should come down.

Hydrogen Peroxide Bombs
Well, it seems that hydrogen peroxide bombs are, in fact, just what the terrorists admit to using. Egg on the faces of the Left? You bet!
Six men are on trial at Woolwich Crown Court, charged with planning co-ordinated suicide attacks on London's transport network on July 21, 2005. Ealing Times UK:
[...]
[Caretaker William] Sarpong alerted police to a large number of empty bottles of hydrogen peroxide left in bin bags for collection by Enfield Council refuse services. Hydrogen peroxide is said to have been a key ingredient in the manufacture of the bombs.
The jury also heard how police searches of the flat, after July 21, unearthed extremist Muslim material, along with CDs by artists such as Meatloaf and Michael Bolton.
One of the alleged July 21 bombers has admitted making all the home-made devices, described in court as being as powerful as TNT or gelignite. ITV News:
Muktar Said Ibrahim, 29, is one of six men accused of hatching an extremist Muslim plot to kill commuters in a series of murderous bombings on the London transport system.
They are alleged to have tried to set off four bombs - made of hydrogen peroxide and chapatti flour - which all failed.
But the easy-to-make yet deadly chemical cocktails were embraced in the late 1990s by Palestinian militants and suicide bombers bent on killing large groups of people.
Now, Yeager says, the "Mother of Satan" explosives are considered the most likely weapon that terrorists will use against the U.S., more so than a nuclear or radiological "dirty" bomb.
"Every serious terrorist group knows about them and knows how to make them," Yeager said. The forensic scientist heads the explosives unit at the FBI's laboratory in Quantico, Va., about 35 miles south of Washington.

U.S. Senate Iraq Non-Binding
Resolution Defeated
Minnesota's Republican Senator, Norm Coleman, again proving that his past Liberalism still runs hard within his veins, voted with the Democrats. So did Virginia's Republican Senator John Warner. John, what WERE you thinking? Minnesota's Democrat Senator, Amy Klobuchar, voted with her Politburo Brethren - no surprise here as she's a dyed in the wool Commiecrat.
It's not hard to parse the words of Liberals like Reid. Whatever they say or say they'll do, plan on them doing the opposite.
Senate Republican Mitch McConnell said, "There is no place for chicanery at a time of war." Exactly!
Excluding the time spent in the House and Senate Chambers, how many hours and how much time have the Dems wasted pontificating about their Non-Binding Resolution? For them, a Non-Binding Resolution is their first step in protracted incrementalism; that being, to eventually move to defund the Troops, those already deployed and those awaiting deployment.
The Left is offended by the term given to their strategy, "Slow Bleed". Why does it hurt so much, Dems; why does it offend you to such a great degree? Is it, perhaps, because that term perfectly and accurately describe what it is you are indeed doing?
Newt Gingrich, former Republican Majority Leader, described the Democrat's behavior as"systematic undermining [of] American foreign policy," on FOX Sunday News. Gingrich is Spot On.
Brighten Up, Dems, because "Slow-Bleed Strategy" is a Non-Binding term. Yours is the political party who used to tell us that words mean everything, be so very careful which words we use, use only politically correct words, when speaking to another selectively choose your word lest the listener be offended. Suddenly, the Left flip-flops, for obvious political reasons, now saying words don't mean anything because their proposed resolutions are "Non-Binding".
On behalf of all of us Independents, Republicans, Conservatives, small "L" Libertarians, who disagree with the Dems, we promise to use the term "Slow Bleed Strategy" only in the most strict "Non-Binding" way. Does that make you feel better?

John Murtha: Ignorant Of Significant Facts
But it's not, Libbies - it's from your Liberal, Myopic WaPo. An excerpt (bolded emphasis mine) :
[John] Murtha has a different idea. He would stop the surge by crudely hamstringing the ability of military commanders to deploy troops. In an interview carried Thursday by the Web site MoveCongress.org, Mr. Murtha said he would attach language to a war funding bill that would prohibit the redeployment of units that have been at home for less than a year, stop the extension of tours beyond 12 months, and prohibit units from shipping out if they do not train with all of their equipment. His aim, he made clear, is not to improve readiness but to "stop the surge." So why not straightforwardly strip the money out of the appropriations bill -- an action Congress is clearly empowered to take -- rather than try to micromanage the Army in a way that may be unconstitutional? Because, Mr. Murtha said, it will deflect accusations that he is trying to do what he is trying to do. "What we are saying will be very hard to find fault with," he said.
Mr. Murtha's cynicism is matched by an alarming ignorance about conditions in Iraq. He continues to insist that Iraq "would be more stable with us out of there," in spite of the consensus of U.S. intelligence agencies that early withdrawal would produce "massive civilian casualties." He says he wants to force the administration to "bulldoze" the Abu Ghraib prison, even though it was emptied of prisoners and turned over to the Iraqi government last year. He wants to "get our troops out of the Green Zone" because "they are living in Saddam Hussein's palace"; could he be unaware that the zone's primary occupants are the Iraqi government and the U.S. Embassy?
It would be nice to believe that Mr. Murtha does not represent the mainstream of the Democratic Party or the thinking of its leadership. Yet when asked about Mr. Murtha's remarks Thursday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) offered her support. Does Ms. Pelosi really believe that the debate she orchestrated this week was not "the real vote"? If the answer is yes, she is maneuvering her party in a way that can only do it harm.
"Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence." - John Adams

Liberal Blogger Let's Blatant Error Slide
So, on This Post of Mine, which is really nothing more than quoting other attributed news and information sources on Al Franken, along comes a Dumbass commenter.
Of course, my next move is to check out the site of the commenter. Right off the top of my head I see a huge inaccuracy. Below is a screen capture of the post, unretouched by me - I swear - except for MY underlining his INACCURATE statement in white:
CLICK HERE FOR FULL SIZE (it will open in a new window). Once there, clicking on the image will enlarge it more.
I also added the following comment to said post:
CLICK HERE FOR FULL SIZE (it will open in a new window). Once there, clicking on the image will enlarge it more.
Now, the Liberal Blogger - and I'll give you his link in a second - still has not corrected his post or added an update admitting his error.
His sentence -
"from Wellstone to Jesse Ventura, both of whom defeated Coleman at one point or another,"
He didn't even bother to Fact Check his own words.
He just thought he knew something when he didn't. Instead of spending what would have been less than one minute on what is an easy item to Fact Check - Mister Liberal Blogger chose to write what he thought and believed he knew to be true.
But he was wrong. Classically, Liberally Wrong.
Paul Wellstone never defeated Coleman "at one point or another". Paul Wellstone never beat Coleman in any political race or election.
Wellstone won his first Senate term, in 1990, by beating incumbent Republican Rudy Boschwitz.(1)
Wellstone won his second Senate term, in 1996, by beating Republican challenger (pause for dramatic effect) ... Rudy Boschwitz. (2)
Wellstone ran for his third Senate term, being challenging by Republican Norm Coleman, but Wellstone did not win that race. He died in a plane crash (October, 2002) - as did everyone on that flight - prior to the election. (3)
Democrat and Ex-Vice President Walter "Fritz" Mondale stepped into the race, taking Wellstone's place, and lost to Coleman in the November 2002 election.(4)
1, 2, 3, 4: Paul Wellstone, Answers.com
Jesse Ventura did win the gubernatorial three-way race in November 1998 - as an Independent - by beating challengers Norm Coleman - then St. Paul Mayor - and Democrat Hubert "Skip" Humphrey, III.
So, (AHEM) - Hershey McSquirts... or whatever you call yourself - where and when did Wellstone beat Coleman..."at one point or another"?
Here's the link (if he doesn't yank it at some point).
So - Joisey Boy - When are you going to CORRECT your MISTAKE?!

Al Gore Promotes Eco-Conservatism By Consuming Fossil Fuels, Wasting Energy
...eight concerts were announced by ex-US Vice President Al Gore, whose global warming film An Inconvenient Truth is up for two Oscars.
Johannesburg, London, Shanghai and Sydney are among the host cities.
Three other concerts will take place in the US, Brazil and Japan, with the cities still to be decided. There will also be a concert in Antarctica.
Mr Gore made the announcement at a press conference in Los Angeles on Thursday, joined by actress Cameron Diaz and rapper Pharrell Williams, who will perform at one of the shows.
"We have to get the message of urgency and hope out," Mr Gore said.
"The climate crisis will only be stopped by an unprecedented and sustained global movement."
...oh, and of course backstage bowls filled with M&M's minus the green ones...all spewing pollution - car, jet and semi-truck exhaust, CO2, residual garbage...
...all in an effort to call attention to......conservation, wasting fossil fuel and "using less".
Is there any hypocrisy here, on Junior Gore's part and the whole concert tour?
Let me know. I'm undecided on it.

Pretty, Petty, Ornamantal, Decorative Non-Binding Resolution Passes In House
Seventeen of his Republican Party joined the Democrats in passing the non-binding motion 246 to 182.
[...]
"The president's escalation plan repeats past mistakes. The stakes in Iraq are too high to recycle proposals that have little prospect for success.
"The bipartisan resolution today may be non-binding. But it will send a strong message to the president - we here in Congress are committed to protecting and supporting our troops," [Said Speaker Nanny Pelosi)
House Minority Leader John Boehner had urged lawmakers to vote against the motion, saying it was "the first step towards a tragic, unthinkable goal".
"We face a sophisticated, determined enemy who wants to annihilate our way of life," he said.
HERE is who and how they voted. House.Gov

John Murtha And The Dems Skulduggery
Murtha reminds me of the guy at the bar who, after so much time has passed, just can't contain himself and has to blab to the people in the bar that it's him who robbed the bank and wasn't caught...yet.
Murtha was caught letting the plan out of the bag. The WASHINGTON POST...yeah, not FOX News you Libs out here - THE WASHINGTON POST reporting that:
[The] plans for placing conditions on how President George W. Bush can spend $93.4 billion in new combat funds would effectively stop an American troop buildup.
"They won't be able to continue. They won't be able to do the deployment. They won't have the equipment, they don't have the training and they won't be able to do the work. There's no question in my mind," [said Murtha].
[...]
"We're trying to force a redeployment not by taking money away, by redirecting money," Murtha said, adding he wants U.S. funds to be slanted more toward diplomacy and Iraq reconstruction.
Murtha received heavy and justified criticism (same WaPO story):
"While American troops are fighting radical Islamic terrorists thousands of miles away, it is unthinkable that the United States Congress would move to discredit their mission, cut off their reinforcements and deny them the resources they need to succeed and return home safely," [said Republican John Boehner, House Minority Leader].
Of all the issues to play politics with - and this is all the Dems are doing and have been doing with Iraq, Afghanistan and the War on Terror - the Dems, who claim they're so supportive of the Troops, pick the one - THEE ONE - MOST DIVISIVE ISSUE they could possibly pick; Defunding the Troops, for nothing other than their own, selfish political livelihood.
And a pox on any Republican who votes with the Democrats on the Non-Binding Decorative Ornamental and Anti-Troop Resolution.

Brief Comments On Jet Blue
The plane was like a "sound-proofed coffin" when the windows were iced over, said Carolyn Faucher, another stranded passenger.
Greenberg said she and other passengers were getting testy because the flight attendants told them they couldn't hand out food or water until the plane had been grounded for at least four hours, citing a Federal Aviation Administration rule. At least two of the passengers were diabetic.
Another passenger said there was no power, and flight attendants had to keep opening the doors so they could breathe comfortably.
The company later apologized and said it would offer refunds and free flights to passengers delayed on-board a plane for more than three hours.
The story was front-page news for both New York tabloid newspapers and dominated local television coverage.
If I'm a passenger, after three hours of being held captive on a immobile airplane, anyone sitting within three feet of me - with or without their consent - is seated in the Smoking Permitted Section.

Nanny Pelosi On The News Hour
Yes, Iraq to date has lasted longer than World War II. So what? How is Iraq similar to World War II? Let me know Liberals, why this is a valid and just comparison in your mind.
Nanny Pelosi, on yesterday's PBS News Hour with Jim Lehrer, trying to lend credence for the Democrat's CUT AND RUN - redeployment strategy - said Iraq is in the middle of an Ethnic Cleansing and it's hard to referee a Civil War.
Why then, were the Dems so critical of the Bush Administration for doing nothing in Darfur? Why then , do the Dems regret not getting involved in Rwanda during the Clinton Administration? Pelosi wouldn't say that for reasons of pure politics, would she? Because she basically said on the News Hour that a Civil War and Ethnic Cleansing pretty much needs to be figured out by those involved without outside influence and interference.
World War II had clear cut and identified enemies, we knew who they were and their countries or origin. Do we have this same clear cut identification with Terrorists? With the countries where they live and reside? Is it one country or twenty?
Why is the length of time a fair analogy? And if you can somehow self-rationalize that it is fair, then why is it unfair to say, if judging the success of a war solely on the number dead, Iraq is still the most successful battle in the history of the entire world?
I no longer need to ask Dems if they ever tire of their own hypocrisy. Hypocrisy is a way of life for them, their ability to hold and apply entirely different standards to others while refusing to apply the same standards to themselves.

Senator Al Franken
You may be asking yourself, who are some of the noteworthy and sturdy Minnesotans contributing to Franken's candidacy. Well, according to WCCO Reality Check says, the following Minnesotans have given cash to Al's Political Action Committee:
Barbra Streisand, actors Philip Seymour Hoffman, Christopher Guest, Rob Reiner and Larry Hagman and the executive producer of television's "Saturday Night Live", where Franken got his start.
IN FACT, the former SNL writer and performer raised more than $1 million last year though his political action committee called Midwest Values.
He spent most of it, for political consultants, travel and fundraising.
Here is what you NEED TO KNOW. Franken's Midwest Values PAC gave $137,500 to Democrats running for office around the country last year, including here in Minnesota. The PAC gave $10,000 contributions to candidates Amy Klobuchar, Tim Walz, Patty Wetterling and Coleen Rowley.
Some are saying that Franken has little chance of ousting Republican Senator Norm Coleman. The people who say this are wrong. I'm no fan of Coleman. He did receive my vote four years ago. He will not - I repeat not - get my vote in 2008 for any elected office he may seek.
Coleman used to be a Democrat; a big Liberal Democrat. Coleman flip-flopped on drilling for oil in ANWR, being for it before he was against it. Coleman is for the stupid Non-Binding resolution that the Democrats are giddy over. He has not shed his Liberal skin, not by a long shot.
Liberals also enjoy criticizing New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg for being a Republican. Let's not forget that Bloomberg was a Democrat before he changed parties. He switched parties only for one reason, he knew he had no chance of winning as a Democrat. Bloomberg, like Coleman, still has a great deal of Liberal blood in his system.
Franken's former comedy team partner, Tom Davis, says Al used to be a Pro-Lifer, The American Spectator, May, 2001:
And as his old partner Tom Davis observes, "He does have a conservative streak in him. When I first met him, he was actually pro-life."
[Franken] enlisted in the anti-war (Vietnam) movement, and avoided the military. Moreover, even though Franken practically brags about helping his brother to dodge the draft, he toured for the USO the last two holiday seasons.
Franken has little chance of winning a Senate race? Don't bet on that.
Never underestimate Minnesota Liberals to elect an idiot to office. NEVER!

Support Your Local Boxer
Suppose one group of supporters for boxer 'A' steadfastly supports their man, jumping up and down cheering him on. No matter how many hits and blows their man takes, they keep encouraging and rooting him on. Boxer 'B's' supporters - on the other hand - shake their heads, a look of unyielding loss on their faces. They shout that their man can't win, that he's been hit too hard, that he doesn't have the resolve in him to win the match.
Do you suppose boxer 'A' receives positive reinforcement and drive from his supporters, motivating him to win the match? Do you suppose that boxer 'B' feels rather abandoned by his supporters, asking himself who are these people who claimed they had faith in me; that said I could win?
How is the above scenario different from the lack of moral support of U.S. Troops shown by the Democrats and their idiotic Non-Binding resolution? Would you want these people in your corner? Would you have doubts about their sincerity, their motivation, their lack of enthusiasm? Would you want these people backing your efforts?

Have You Heard?
Mitt Romney Is A Mormon? (GASP!)
Do you suppose Romney received votes from Liberals? Do you suppose these same Liberals who vote for Kennedy and Kerry crossed party lines and voted for Romney? You mean to tell me that come hell or high water the Massachusetts Liberal crowd sacrifices a Democrat in place of a Republican? How did that happen?
How did Romney manage to not raise taxes in Massachusetts? How did he manage to work with State Democrats? How did he manage to reach across the aisle to the Massachusetts Liberal Crowd and accomplish anything?
How did Ronald Reagan win a majority of 49 states? Did Liberals vote for him? They had to, didn't they, in order for him to carry 49 states? How did he ever get elected Governor of California? California is not rich with a voting bloc of Republicans or Conservatives when it comes to that state's political majority voice. You don't suppose he received votes from Liberals and Leftward Leaning Independents, do you?
Romney closed a $3 billion dollar deficit without raising taxes. Romney is a Republican who was elected in a Liberal state. How'd he do that? You don't suppose he received votes from Liberals and Leftward Leaning Independents, do you? How could that happen?
And what do we hear today from the Liberal press about Romney, day after day after day? Whoa...he's a Mormon! A Mormon! The MSM is out there, with their man on the street, actively asking people, "How do you feel about a Mormon in the White House?" A Mormon! A Mormon! Is the sky falling now? Has the blue come crashing down upon us, not from
Please tell me you see the odious duplicity and hypocrisy from the Liberal press and the MSM. Please tell me you see the blatant double standard from the Media.
Because this is the same Media that told us that Minnesota Congressman Keith Ellsion's religion of MUSLIM should not be a factor in his electability. This is the same MSM who vociferously told us that no one should be making a big deal out of Mr. Ellison and his religious practice of Islam. Why, the MSM told us it was politically incorrect to even discuss the fact that Ellison is a Muslim!
Today this is that same MSM that now breathlessly reports Romney's Mormon religion.
And the MSM wonders - they gather, scratching their heads in upper management meetings - why their circulation of newspapers is falling. They wonder why no one watches their evening network newscasts. They wonder why people turn to alternative sources for their news, shunning the conventional and established news outlets.
Huh, it's shocking! Why, I don't know why fewer and fewer people are reading the New York Times, The Minneapolis Star Tribune, The San Francisco Chronicle and others. I don't know why people are tuning out the network evening news. It must be one of those things we call an enigma. No one has the answer. It's a mystery it is, it sure is.

What's up Big Eddy Schultz:
Why So Glum Today?
Did some radio executive tell you, in no uncertain terms, that if you want to remain on the air you'd better talk about newsworthy topics and current events rather than making your program a platform for your personal issues and your cry-baby-rant-a-thon whining?
Did station managers field an overwhelming amount of calls from listeners whom you offended and alienated over the past three days?
Did the big New York AirHead America and Jones Network boys tell little Team Fargo to shape up and quit your bitching or you'd be talking only to the birds in your back yard?
Was it advertisers and sponsors who threatened to yank their underwriting from your program after you insulted them?
Big Ed was begging for calls, just begging for anyone to call him and talk.

U.S. Economic News Good!
- - - - -
Unemployment rate for January 2007 4.6 %. U.S. Department of Labor
- - - - -
U.S. deficit down 57.2 percent FX Street:
The Treasury Department reported Monday that the deficit for the budget year that began Oct. 1 totals $42.2 billion, down 57.2 percent from the same period a year ago. The amount of revenues collected from October through January were up 9.7 percent from the same period a year ago, climbing to a record level for the period of $834.1 billion. Government spending also set a record for the period, but the growth was a slower 2.1 percent, pushing the total to $876.3 billion for the first four months of the current budget year.
The continued strong growth in revenues reflects the record profits corporations have been recording in recent years and low levels of unemployment, which means more Americans are working and paying taxes. For the full year, the Congressional Budget Office is forecasting that the budget deficit will shrink to around $200 billion. The deficit for the 2006 budget year, which ended last Sept. 30, was $247.7 billion, the lowest in four years.
Bill Clinton, in his wildest and wettest dreams didn't have this and yet, the Libs point to his eight years as the best economy ever! Lies, just lies from the Lefties.
None of this economic news will make Liberals happy. They'll respond with...are you ready...."LET'S RAISE TAXES!"
Ed Schultz Has On-Air Meltdown, Or: When Liberals Eat Their Own It's Damn Funny!
Ed is fit to be tied because another AirHead America Talker, Sham Seder, encouraged his listeners to contact XM Satellite and tell them to carry the Thom Hartmann program instead of Ed's show. Apparently Ed is under the assumption that his deal with XM was cut and dried. The following message is posted at Majority Report Radio, home to Seder:
February 8, 2007
You choose
As most of you know Al Franken is leaving AAR for other pursuits.
I'll miss Al and think there'd be no AAR without him, but I am psyched to have Thom Hartmann in the AAR lineup. Many of you know I am a big fan of his.
However, there's a rumor going around that Thom won't be carried by XM on the AAR channel. Instead they'll carry Ed Schultz. If I listened to AAR through XM- I'd be pissed.... let them know how you feel.
Ed ripped into AA's business practices, its affiliates, its personalities and its audience and listeners.
Excerpts from his morning cry-baby-rant-a-thon are as follows:
"Air America [is] rotten business people."[sic]
"If you listen to Air America, I don't want you listening to me."
"Mike Malloy is a hate merchant."
"Air America sucks!"
"[Air America] undercuts everybody."
"Air America lies."
"Air America sucks. They suck. They're mean and nasty."
"I wish Air America would go away and shut up."
"[Air America] has never sold an ad."
"Al Franken leaving is the best thing that ever happened [to Air America]."
"Air America is robbing people."
"I'm not going to be nice about Air America anymore."
Not only did he rip listeners, he ripped people - on the air - who called in to offer their views of this hilarious situation.
While I don't have an MBA, I'll take a wild stab at a basic business principle; that being, insulting your audience and listeners - as well as the stations that carry you - isn't a good thing to do.
There's (at least) Three Golden Rules in Radio: 1) You make sure that the "7 Dirty Words" never get broadcast over the air thereby jeopardizing your FCC license or risking a fine, 2) You DO NOT insult advertisers and sponsors, and 3) You DO NOT insult your listeners and audience. Well Fat Ed, you nailed Numbers 2 and 3...are you going to shoot for violating Number 1 tomorrow?
Schultz is spiraling out of control, falling, falling and falling deeper into a pit from which he'll never recover. You don't suppose he's boozing it up prior to, and during, his show, do you?
I seldom, very very seldom, do predictions, but here's one for you: AA stations are going to stop carrying the Fat Eddy Show soon. Very soon.
It's funny - downright knee-slapping ribald, stop-my gut is hurting funny - when Liberals cannibalize their own.

Mitt Romney Attacked By Jews
This story is unbelievable, absolutely and absurdly unbelievable.
The National Jewish Democratic Council (NJDC) expressed its deep concerns today about Republican Mitt Romney's decision to announce his candidacy for President from the Henry Ford Museum in Detroit, Michigan:
"NJDC is deeply troubled by Governor Romney's choice of locations to announce his Presidential campaign. Romney has been traveling the country talking about inclusiveness and understanding of people from all walks of life. Yet he chooses to kick off his presidential campaign on the former estate of a well-known and outspoken anti-Semite and xenophobe. Mitt Romney's embrace of Henry Ford and association of Ford's legacy with his presidential campaign raises serious questions about either the sincerity of Romney's words or his understanding of basic American history," said NJDC Executive Director Ira Forman.
I found no matches, while searching your site, Ira, using the terms: 'Hillary Clinton jew', Hillary Clinton fucking jew', Hillary Clinton fucking jew bastard' or 'Hillary Clinton Jew Boy'. Why is that Ira? Why no condemnation of Mrs. Clinton? It's not because she panders and postures herself to the Jewish voting bloc, is it? You know, this is the woman who kissed Suha Arafat. Let's not forget that to say Bill Clinton embraced PLO terrorist-leader Yasser Arafat would be an understatement.
This story - the NJDC criticizing Romney - couldn't be more of a non-story. Romney's appearance at the Henry Ford Museum does not raise any questions about his sincerity or his understanding of American History.
What is does raise is why Ira Forman and the NJDC is so soft on Hillary Clinton, letting her off the hook for answering questions about her own Anti-Semitism.
People like Ira Forman actively seek and see Anti-Semitism in places it doesn't exist. And they actively deny it where and when it does exist. Like Hillary Clinton.
By the way Ira, Bill Clinton praised Henry Ford...why is there nothing on your site critical of him on this issue? I mean, Anti-Semitism IS Anti-Semitism, isn't it - even when it doesn't exist?
