Obama In A Bubble Of Egotism

"Help! I'm in Bubble!"

Robert Gibbs, spokesman for Barack Hussein Obama, Junior said, "we never said that the Pentagon prevented us from going," to visit wounded and recovering U.S. Soldiers at Landstuhl while Obama was in Germany.

That's a very interesting statement from Gibbs who, on July 25, said,
"We had taken some of that into consideration but we believed that it could be done in a way that would not create, it would not be created or seen as a campaign stop."

By "some of that", Gibbs means what was intended for Obama to be a photo-op with U.S. Troops. The reason Obama nixed visiting and paying his respects to the Soldiers is that he was asked not to bring along his entourage of toadying reporters and photographers
thereby turning his visit with the Troops into a Campaign and Media Event.

The above becomes even more Theater of The Absurd when you consider that Obama Campaign Guru David Axelrod blamed the Pentagon for Obama not visiting the Soldiers, saying that they "viewed this as a campaign event and therefore they said he should not come."

[Pentagon, spokesman Bryan Whitman] said, "The Pentagon certainly did not tell the senator he could not visit Landstuhl
."

So we have Gibbs saying he didn't say what he said as well as saying that that Axelrod didn't say what he said.

See, these people - and by that I mean Team Obama - tell so many lies they can no longer keep track of all the lies they tell, who tells them, who tries to cover up for the lies and who tries covering up for the covering up.

Obama was never disinvited from visiting Soldiers at Landstuhl. He was asked not to make it a campaign and media event. But he couldn't keep himself from doing this - egomaniac that he is - so he dissed the Soldiers because he couldn't have it his way.

Andrew Romano,
writing at Newsweek, apparently hasn't been paying any attention to how The Left has been acting and behaving for the past seven years (at least the past seven years):

Romano, writing about the differences in policy on the Iraq War between John McCain and Obama says:

Without any substantive distance between him and Obama on the way forward in Iraq, the Arizona senator has chosen to indulge in recent days in a series of meaningless attacks meant create [sic] (I think he's missing a "to" connecting those words. - Drake] the illusion of contrast where none actually exists.

I'm not too familiar with Romano's writing. Can anyone tell me, does he specialize in satire and humor? I ask this because the entire existence of Liberals depends on nothing but a "series of meaningless attacks meant (to) create the illusion of controversy where none actually exists." It is the entire lifeblood of Liberal ideology. Romano appears not to be paying attention, not now, not ever. Pass the bong my way Andy, you're smoking some good stuff!

It would be nice - why, the U.S. and the world might even approach a harmonious whole - if Liberals everywhere held their own people and politicians to the same standard that they hold and apply to everyone else. But don't hold your breath waiting for that to happen. Not even if you have two lung-fulls of some mind blowing nugg smoke.

Obama Snubs Landstuhl,
And Now We Know The Real Reason

Barack Hussein Obama, Junior - The Illinois Muslim running for U.S. president - was told he could visit injured U.S. Military Troops at the Landstuhl U.S. military hospital in Germany.

There was one caveat. He couldn't bring the press and his sycophant reporters with him.

So - no press, no lackeys, no coverage - no visit to the Soldiers by Obama. Nice guy this Obama fellow is, huh?

Instead of visiting U.S. Soldiers without his entourage, he went off to the gym. Or went shopping. Or night-clubbing. Or some combination of those. Who knows, who cares.

New York Times columnist David Brooks calls Obama's speeches a, "saccharine show for the rock concert masses, and in Berlin his act jumped the shark."

Heh - Obama jumped the shark. Maybe Obama will attempt a shark jump like Fonzie?

"Ayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, Mrs. Cunningham, come watch me jump the shark."

Brooks ends his column with, "But [Obama's] optimism without reality isn't eloquence. It's Disney."

Obama told another blatant lie while in Europe. He said he is a member of the Senate Banking Committee. His exact words, in talking about a bill that had passed, were: "we passed" just last week tightening sanctions against Iran in the Senate Banking Committee -- "my committee.
" "My committee."

The problem with his statement? It's a shameless - shameless - lie. He's not a member of the Senate Banking Committee, never has been.

Obama. All hype, no substance. A performer worthy of Barnum and Baily's Center Ring, but not a candidate worthy of occupying the White House.

By the way, has anyone seen Obama not wearing the U.S. Flag lapel pin in the last I-don't-know-how-many months? When he wasn't wearing one his excuse was that he doesn't need to wear one to prove his loyalty to his country.

Now, he's never seen without one, likely wearing one on his pajama's if he wear them. And if he doesn't wear them, maybe he's pinning that flag pin directly into his flesh.

Obama Against The Surge;
So Was Donald Rumsfeld!

It's so funny. Those Lefties and the Obama Cultists like to think they are so perfect, so logical and anyone who disagrees with them is...well, the enemy.

I guess Barack Hussein Obama, Junior is the enemy. He was against the surge from the beginning.

And so was former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld. Yeah, he was against the surge too.

Who knew Obama and Rummy were so much alike, that they held the same belief on an issue that has brought such divisiveness out of the Insane Liberal Clown Obama Posse! This must really roil the Obama Cultists, because they hate Rumsfeld. They call him a "warmonger," yet he was against the surge. So was Barry!

Oh, the sweet, delicious irony in the ultra-transparent Liberals. Does it never end?

Bob Rainey, WCCO Sportscaster, Rest In Peace

If you're unfamiliar with local Twin Cities television sports broadcasters, allow me to clue you in on a little something. They suck, they're worthless, they're egotists whose inflated opinion of themselves shines through as transparent as a freshly Windexed and squeegeed window. This is only my opinion, of course, but I am not alone in my take on them.

There are two or three Twin Cities full-time television sports broadcasters who are worthwhile; the rest of them can jump off a cliff and would never be missed.

There is now one less worthwhile local television sports broadcaster.

Bob Rainey

WCCO-TV's sports broadcaster Bob Rainey has died at the age of 46 from colon cancer. WCCO:

No matter the sport, Rainey knew the stats. He was like a walking sports encyclopedia, particularly when it came to horse racing. Rainey could rattle off every horse that ever won the Kentucky Derby. You could literally give him a year and he would remember the name of the horse.

    [...]

He had a quick wit and a playful sense of humor. He once filed a story about a golf invention that used powder to help determine which direction the wind was blowing. The device was shot down in an invention contest, but Rainey found an alternative use, as a sweaty-hand helper. However when he tried to dispense the powder into his hands it went everywhere. He rolled with it, poking fun at himself as he sat there with white powder all over his hands.

Golf was Rainey's real passion. He called himself a "struggling golfer," but would never pass up the chance to play a few rounds.

    [...]

He covered World Series, Super Bowls and Final Fours. But no matter how many sports stars he interviewed, his favorite stories involved everyday people overcoming obstacles.

Rainey was a man of few words, but he had a big heart. He wanted to fight his battle with cancer in private, yet there is one lesson he would want to share: listen to your body and get tested, even if you may be younger than the suggested age when tests should be performed.

The guy was great at his job.

Calling him a class act doesn't begin to do those words justice.

A class act in a local market full of other television sportscasters who can only be described as the most egregious egotists on the planet. I don't know what it is about this market that too many sportscasters think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread. Not Bob Rainey.

Rainey excelled in what he did. It didn't matter if he was reporting on the Wild, the Vikings, the Twins or a local kid's sporting event. He had passion about whatever team it was and his passion showed.

He exuded happiness.

He had an honest and sincere sense of humor, unlike the feigned humor that other local sportscasters fake with their cohorts on every broadcast.

He never attempted to outshine or overshadow whatever he was reporting on. He covered the story; the event. It was never "about him". Never. Never.

He had a grace and professionalism about him that other local sportscasters could only hope and pray to possess in the smallest degree (and they don't).

You knew he loved what he did simply by watching him report on something.

He was real. He was Genuine.

His passing sucks. It just sucks. Damn...just damn.

The guy was great. He will be greatly missed.

Obama Popularity Slip Sliding Away

The Obamalith is falling, his poll numbers are dropping, people are realizing that he is an empty suit.

From The L.A. Times:

Fresh polls show that he has been unable to convert weeks of extensive media coverage into a widened lead. And some prominent Democrats whose support could boost his campaign are still not enthusiastic about his candidacy.

    [...]

[Only a] minority of voters see Obama as a familiar figure with whom they can identify. [Yeah, the Rabid Hate-filled Far Left Insane Liberal Clown Posse. - Drake]

    [...]

By 58% to 47%, voters identity more with the values and background of [John] McCain, the presumptive Republican nominee, than with Obama, according to a newly released Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll. [Values...Obama? "Obama Values" like leaving babies to die that survive an abortion procedure? Those kind of "Obama values"? - Drake]

    [...]

Amy Siskind of Westchester, N.Y., is a Clinton supporter who said she wouldn't vote for Obama. Siskind said she was especially offended when Obama hired Clinton's former campaign manager, Patti Solis Doyle, to work with his vice presidential nominee. Given that Solis Doyle was demoted by Clinton, the appointment was perceived by Clinton loyalists as a slight.

"Most folks feel that the battle is over and he's the winner, but he's really acted like a sore winner," Siskind said. "If Hillary had been the nominee, you would have seen a much more deferential approach to Obama supporters."

    [...]

Lynn Forester de Rothschild, a Clinton fundraiser who lives in New York City, said, "What I think is very important is that he has a problem with his image. He is an aloof candidate. He does not connect with people. He has words, but no ordinary person thinks that he is there for them, and women feel that intensely."

What?!? Goat cheese and arugula aren't the everyday staples of meat and potato Americans? Who knew, who knew?
Obama is aloof. He is arrogant. He is an Elitist. His world tour showed exactly that. The American voter is beginning to "get it"; that Obama is a fraud. He is a poser.

Nobody likes a sore winner, and this is all we see from Obama. He is a sore winner. In his every word, action, campaign tactic, from his wife, his supporters - everything connected to him exudes and demonstrates a "Sore Winner" mentality.

The L.A. Times story cites Obama has lost the lead he had over McCain in Colorado and that Obama's lead over McCain in Minnesota has narrowed to mere points. The story notes that both are swing states important to both candidates.

He's going to fall, and he's going to fall hard. When this happens, and it will, his Cult Followers will be foaming at the mouth. In other words, they'll be just a bit angrier than they usually are!

If Obama is so great and so beloved by American voters - as the MSM, the Liberal Owned Media and his Cultists would like to believe - his popularity should still be skyrocketing. He should be leading McCain in double-digits nationally and be ahead of McCain by the same in states. But he's not, his poll numbers are going down, his popularity is falling, his "magic" is seen as smoke and mirrors. People are waking up to his fakery.

The O'balloon will pop, deflate and wither away. Count on it.

Remember, he's Change You Can Xerox!

Obama Berlin Crowd 20,000 - Not 200,000;
Democrats Proclaim: Math Is Hard !

American MSM - and other MSM - peed their pants in orgiastic glee over Barack Hussein Obama, Junior's speech in Germany last week.

The public was told that the crowd that turned out to see him was 200,000!

Too bad that crowd estimate of 200,000 was more like 20,000.

World Politics Review reports that German public television, ZDF, reported the crowd number at 20,000:

This 200,000 figure has quickly become the standard estimate of the crowd for Obama's speech in both the American and the German media: so standard indeed that it is for the most part not even treated as an estimate.

The estimates given by German public television ZDF actually during the event, however, were as little as one-tenth of that number.

    [...]

Barely five minutes before the speech was supposed to start, ZDF Berlin studio chief Peter Frey added, "We do estimate that 20,000 [literally, "a couple of ten thousand"] people have turned out." Frey's tone, like that of Gelhard, reflected the gap between the relatively modest number cited and the lofty predictions that had preceded the event.

    [...]

...the original source for the rapidly growing estimates was in fact the rally organizers: i.e. the Obama team.

    [...]

As the Berlin-based writer Christian J. Heinrich notes: "During the big anti-Bush demonstration after the fall of Baghdad, there were 250,000 people. And it looked totally different from yesterday."

Read the whole story. The number of people that turned out to see Obama is being greatly exaggerated. It was exaggerated and inflated during the course of the speech by the Obama Campaign itself. What a bunch of phonies and liars!

20,000! Not 200,000!

Yeah Dems, math is hard, ain't it?

Obama...already a legend in his own mind and only in the mind of his Cult Followers. What a joke.

K-Street: I Want To Believe

Imagine the following scenario. On second thought, no need to imagine it, because it happens.

A group of politicians meets with business presidents, CEOs and industry leaders. The politicians tell the business titans that if they are willing to provide political favors such as donations and lobbying that coincides with their political vision and policies, in turn the pols will provide favorable legislation to the private sector.

Your immediate, perhaps knee jerk, reaction is there go the Republicans again, currying favors in exchange for campaign contributions and other perks. Why, it's K-Street and Tom DeLay all over again, those darn, sneaky, underhanded Republicans! The MSM breathlessly reports on the meeting and how Republicans are tied at the hip to big, bad, evil profitable private businesses.

So imagine this happening all over again, those rascally Republicans choking private businesses for all they are worth, draining the lifeblood of free enterprise.

Only this time it's the Democrats' K-Street and it's taking place under the auspices of Senate Majority Leader Democrat Harry Reid without any MSM coverage and lacking all public outrage.

Reid's strong-arming business is documented in the WSJ's Potomac Watch by Kimberly Strassel's The K Street Project, Part Blue:

[Harry Reid] summoned the titans of more than a dozen industry trade groups to a Capitol Hill meeting where he delivered a crisp message: Get with our program, or get demolished.

Anyone remember the "K Street Project"? [And how it pressured] the business community into hiring GOP lobbyists, supporting GOP causes, and giving money to GOP candidates? The press was shocked, shocked, to discover such behavior and ran endless coverage of this nefarious GOP operation. Democrats were shocked, shocked, too, and charged that the project was the root of Washington's corruption.

    [...]

But it was not even remotely shocking to discover that the party in power [The Democrats.-Drake] strong-arms the business community.

    [...]

The corporate world got an early taste of this last year when New York Sen. Chuck Schumer used his majority status to take advantage of his home-state financial industry. [Schumer] steps up to protect hedge funds and private equity from his own party's threats of taxation. In return, a grateful industry writes enormous campaign checks[.]

Oh, how the outcry would be deafening if Schumer were a Republican and if instead of offering "protection" for the hedge funds and private equity, the sector being promised "protection" from taxation was Big Oil.

Reid stepped up the pressure in [his meeting with private industry].

    [...]

[His message according] to one participant: "We have a narrow margin right now, and it is tough for us to get anything done. But there will be more of us next year, you'd better get used to it and you better find a way to work with us."

Strassel's article details how the marching orders from Reid and the Democrat Majority is telling business and industry it's either the Democrat Way or the high-tax highway. There's a word that describes what Reid is telling the private sector...what is it...oh...darn it...on the tip of my tongue. Oh, yeah - blackmail! Or damn close to it.

You gotta love the Democrats and their methodology of bullying both individuals and enterprise into doing things their way. Since Democrats can't accomplish their agenda with civility, logic, reason or facts they can only resort to bullying.

Few majorities have been as hostile to free enterprise as this one, and the business community knows it. For all the Democrats' power, industry knows that climbing on board an agenda of higher taxes, bigger government, less free trade and no new energy would be suicide.

Well, if not suicide, the forced implementation of institutionalized Neo Marxism that Democrats so desperately desire.

This is the current structure of the Democrat party, filled with members who are Left of Far Left. They are The New Bolsheviks. They are hell-bent on destroying the free market, capitalism, reasonable free trade and instead establishing complete government control in every facet of industry, the free market and in our personal lives.

The New Bolsheviks know no subtly, unwilling to negotiate or compromise. Their philosophy is one of intimidation, oppression, taxation, regulation and demonization. They are bullies and they are loud and this is all they are. Karl, Joe Lenin, Mao Tse Tung, Pol Pot and Adolf Hitler applaud them from their graves.

Republicans Successfully Block Dems
From Faux Gas Price Relief

Kudos to the Republican party for blocking faux relief from the high price of gasoline.

Republicans stuck together and blocked a measure proposed by Democrats to release 70 million barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.

The Democrats express no interest in reducing the price of gasoline and will do everything they can to oppose it. We saw this when they refused to consider temporarily, for the summer, eliminating the federal gas tax. Doing this would save consumers, "only $20-$30 dollars," said the Democrats.

Well, depleting 70 million barrels of oil from the reserve is "only about a three-day supply." This translates into saving consumers basically nothing. This was a ridiculous proposal from the Dems as usual. It's the same as saying you're going to lose weight by going on a diet after stuffing and gorging yourself for three days. All it does is postpone the inevitable.

The Dems want to keep oil prices high and prevent our own domestic exploration and production of oil and natural gas. The Dems want to keep this issue alive for what they believe is their own political benefit.

Good; good for the Republicans in sticking together on this.

©2008

Selected recommended reading: Democrats’ attempt to tap strategic oil is shameful:

The Democratic leadership can’t answer American citizens’ demands because of their own desire to keep the United States from tapping its own oil resources, so they come up with this kind of nonsense.

Sir Mick and his fellow Stones will switch all the albums since Sticky Fingers in 1971 to rival record label Universal Music and in a swipe at EMI’s management the band said: “Universal are forward thinking, creative and hands-on music people.”

Look, liking or disliking music is subjective, so all you RS fans out there just chill. The Stones haven't put out a decent, listenable album since 1983's Undercover which is marginal at best. Please, don't waste your time commenting trying to convince me that albums after it - Dirty Work, Steel Wheels, the thoroughly wretched and detestable Voodoo Lounge (excuse me while I hurl blood) or Bridges to Babylon - are listenable. Everything Emotional Rescue and preceding it is fantastic.

And on that note, a must-read for any audiophile, music lover and downloader. Paying for downloads is like buying air. The Times Online:

The record companies are once again crying over spilt milk. When they experienced a windfall from the compact disc in the Eighties, instead of giving back the love, the industry made the customer feel guilty with its “home taping is killing music” campaign.

Now it is trying to stop illegal downloads by brokering a deal with internet service providers to reduce internet speeds for transgressors. But the £1 billion that the industry estimates it will lose in the next five years due to file sharing is already long gone. The game changed years ago, and a generation has grown up believing that it doesn't have to pay to hear music. It's hard to see why even younger fans would feel different.

    [...]

The long-term prospects are bleaker still - new technology has made music a cottage industry. It is so cheap to get recorded music to the audience that artists no longer need a major label.

    [...]

In 2008, pop is bottom up, not top down. Word of mouth is all you need.

Technology has changed the scope of music and how it is distributed. The once mighty and revenue-generating record label companies have not kept up with technology, and they have only themselves to blame.

Obama Snubs U.S. Troops

Oh, that Illinois Muslim, Barack Hussein Obama, Junior. He's such a real American.

Wearin' that U.S. Flag Lapel pin and wrapping himself up in the American Flag.

Paying attention and putting his hand over his heart during the playing of our National Anthem. What a guy. What an American!

You know, he says he has the best interests of U.S. Soldiers in his heart.

So I wonder why he ignored them in Germany, in favor of going shopping and night-clubbing?

From Spiegel online:

SPIEGEL ONLINE has learned that Obama has cancelled a planned short visit to the Rammstein and Landstuhl US military bases in the southwest German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. The visits were planned for Friday. "Barack Obama will not be coming to us," a spokesperson for the US military hospital in Landstuhl announced. "I don't know why." Shortly before the same spokeswoman had announced a planned visit by Obama.

Oh, but he supports the Troops. Yeah, riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. I bet he had some shoe-shopping to do instead, you know, just like The Left criticized Condi Rice. Yep, Obama had to buy some shoes because the ones he has are all worn out and wet from being stuck in his mouth so many times.

Boston.com reports:

McCain spokesman Brian Rogers just responded: "Barack Obama is wrong. It is never ‘inappropriate’ to visit our men and women in the military."

Rogers is spot on. When, exactly, is it inappropriate or wrong to visit U.S. Military members? Maybe the Messiah can explain that one?

Obama's behavior is typical of Liberal and Progressive mentality. Use and abuse the U.S. Military when it suits you (remember First Lady Hillary Clinton using the Military to serve tea in the White House?) and then ignore them when it matters. Typical, typical, typical Liberal and Progressive behavior by Obama. I, for one, am not surprised.

Obama's New World Order

The title of Barack Hussein Obama, Junior's speech that he delivered in Germany (at what is a site that originally was built by Adolf Hitler) is "A World that Stands as One". [Correction: Hitler did not build or construct the Victory Column - I knew this, but I failed in my proofreading. Hitler did relocate the Victory Column from its original location to where it is today. This is what I meant to write and I regret my sometimes proofreading-challenged abilities - Drake]..

I'm not making this up. It's on his own web site..."A World that Stands as One".

Wow, does that sound New World Order-ish to anyone?

I bet if a Republican gave a speech titled "A World that Stands as One" The Insane Liberal Clown Posse would be screaming "New World Order, New World Order!"

I'm going to use the New York Times version of Obama's speech simply because it's easier on the eyes format-wise.

In his speech, Obama speaks of, "global citizenship continue[s] to bind us together."

He speaks of, "global commitment" and "global partnership."

He speaks of "global development" and a "globalized world."

He speaks of being a "citizen of the world."

He speaks of how "the world might be remade" and "a world that stands as one."

The "world remade"? That "stands as one?"

Whew - does that sound like New World Order (NWO)? It sure does to me! The Left and Obama Cultists will never breath a word of this though. Oh, but if Republican John McCain used these same words? Holy Hell, it would be NWO/
Illuminati Gone Wild!

One more thing: yet another case of plagiarism from The Obamalith with him saying, "the walls we must tear down."

I guess he's run out of Democrats to plagiarize and his only option is now plagiarizing great Republicans and great Republican presidents.

Who will he plagiarize next?

Here's my guess: He will soon utter the phrase, "Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do."

And he'll claim it as his own original phrase. And his Cultists will believe him.

Saudi Gazette Rips Obama To Shreds

Sabria S. Jawhar, writing in the Saudi Gazette picks apart the fakery of Barack Hussein Obama, Junior.

Here are some excerpts:

What Obama is not doing is visiting an Arab country that would demonstrate that Muslim opinion matters to him. Not just the Muslims who lost family members to American firepower, but to Muslims who are eager for normal relations with the United States.

Any of the GCC countries would do. And if Obama wanted to send a message that we are all in the fight against terrorism together, what better way than including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait or even fun-loving Dubai on his itinerary.

But what is more worrying than Obama’s snub of Muslims is his fence-straddling over the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

    [...]

...this is your run-of-the-mill political gamesmanship. He has all but secured the Democratic nomination for president, so he must now move away from his left-leaning rhetoric to the center to capture voters who are undecided.

All understandable, but now he seems to embrace President Bush’s “surge” in Iraq since it is perceived in the West as a success and points toward an American victory. [Yeah, and isn't it funny that Obama's embrace of the surge does not send his Cult Followers into raging fits of histrionics? I wonder why that is? - Drake]. So what does Obama want to do? He wants to move 10,000 American troops from Iraq to Afghanistan to chase down and snuff out the Taleban.

This is rather meaningless and simply illustrates that Obama is pandering to the American voter.

    [...]

It appears that Obama is not aware of the “cockroach factor.” You spray one portion of the house with insecticide to get rid of the roaches only to have them scurry to another part of the house. Once that poison disappears, the cockroaches race back. It’s easy to overstate the success of the surge.

Al-Qaeda is moving to Afghanistan to continue their fight, but once Iraq is left vulnerable with a weak army, guess what? They will scurry back and the US will be in the same position it was a year ago.

If Obama is showing off his foreign policy acumen, he is doing a poor job of it.

But let’s be realistic here. Obama’s tour of the Middle East and Europe is not to demonstrate his expertise in foreign affairs.

No, Obama's European Vacation is nothing more than one, big public relations production. It's one BIG photo-op.

What's next, Barry with Michelle The Dangerous Washerwoman
dancing to non-existent music in some supposedly private, off-limits lagoon feigning unawareness while their image is captured by a photographer as were Bubba and Hillary?

Obama has no expertise in foreign affairs. Remember, his claim to fame is being a Community Organizer in Chicago who dealt with such vital issues as: "Can I get you another glass of punch, Mr./Mrs./Ms. Chicago Voter? Would you like more potato chips? That pot-hole is now fixed." And, "Isn't that a nice shrubbery?"

Read the entire Saudi Gazette piece. It's fantastic.

Obama And Soros Together Again

The last time we checked in with the Comedy and Ventriloquism Team of billionaire and Liberal America-hater George Soros...György Schwartz and his puppet Barack Hussein Obama, Junior was when they were rehearsing for the Dumbocrat Convention in Denver.

György is proud of his little puppet. And they had the recent conversation below:

Soros: You made me very proud Barack, in how you handled yourzelf in Iraq, Afghanistan and Germany.

Barack: What about Israel, Uncle György, did I do okay there? Do you approve?

Soros: Yes Barack, you convinced ze Jews zhat as president you vill support them and be their ally instead of what I have planned, which is supporting the Palestinian and Hezbollah terrorists and they fell for it. Good boy (patronizingly patting Barack on the head).

Barack: Your approval means so much to me. Am I the president now, Uncle György?

Soros: Not quite yet, Barack, but soon. Very soon.

Barack: Will I be the president of the world, Uncle György?

Soros: Yes Barack, you vill be ze president of the vorld.

Barack: Uncle György, may have I permission to ask you a question?

    Soros: Certainly Barack, go ahead.

Barack: Where and from whom is all my campaign donations coming from?

Soros: Zat is not yours to vorry or concern yourzelf about, Barack. Just listen to me and do as I say and everyzing vill vork out as I have planned.

Barack: Okay, Uncle György, but afterwards what favors will I owe you in return?

Soros: So many quvestions from such an inquisitive little mind. You leave all zat to me Barack. Stay on script, keep acting and pretending zat you are ze Messiah and do vhat I tell you and all vill be fine. Trust me, Barack, trust me.

Barack: Okay, Uncle György. (Pause). Ummmm, am I the president now?

Soros: Soon Barack, zoon. Heh, heh, heh. Zhat's vhat I like about you Barack. So eager to do my bidding. You're villing to do anyzing for me.

Barack: Anything for you, Uncle György.

Yuan Fang, Obama Jumper

I didn't manage to get to this story when it happened last week.

The WaPo reported on July 22 that a man, Yuan Fang...

...held police at bay for more than eight hours after climbing onto a seventh-floor ledge overlooking the atrium of a Senate building.

Yuan, who police said had limited understanding of English but spoke Mandarin, climbed over a protective barrier at the Hart Senate Office Building and onto the ledge about 5:45 p.m. Monday. Capitol police negotiators, working with a D.C. police translator, communicated with him. He left the ledge about 2 a.m. yesterday.

Yuan, of New York, was charged with disturbing the peace and was taken to St. Elizabeths Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.

What isn't as widely reported is that Mr. Fang was on a ledge that is connected to the office of none other than Democrat U.S. Senator Barack Hussein Obama, Junior.

No one yet knows why he threatened to jump, but I have a theory: Mr. Fang had a vision of what the country will be like under an Obama Administration and he didn't like what he saw...not at all.

Germany Welcomes Hitler Obama

Adolf Hitler's resurrection is alive and well in the form of Barack Hussein Obama, Junior, The Illinois Muslim. They are both so similar in so many ways, but none as much as how both draw huge crowds. If A=B and B=C then A=C, and it's no exaggeration to say that if Hitler drew big audiences - and he did - and Obama draws big audiences - and he does - then Obama is no different than Hitler.

al-Reuters reports that a motorist crashed through the barricades surrounding the Victory Column where Obama is scheduled to speak on Thursday in Germany. Huh, I guess the motorist isn't an Obama Cultist.

Another al-Reuters story reports that while some Germans are excited over Obama's visit, others deplore him:

“There is a lot of hope associated with Obama. People hope he’ll be a peace, rather than a war president.” But the charismatic Democratic senator will find that if he asks Germany to get more involved militarily in Afghanistan or even Iraq, “the positive feeling towards him could change very quickly”, [said Manfred Guellner, head of the Forsa opinion polling group].

Josef Joffe, editor and publisher of Die Zeit, agreed that Iraq and Afghanistan could well lead to “dissonances” with Obama. “Germany’s Obamamania has disappointment written all over it,” he wrote in his Newsweek blog.

In fact, opined one official in Merkel’s office, it would be much better for Obama to give a low-key speech at a university or think tank. That way, the risk of disappointment will be lower.

The thing is, nothing about Obama, his campaign and his Cultists is "low-key." For Obama it's all about the bling. It has to be all about the bling because there is no substance in him, his policies, those he surrounds himself with or his Cultists.

Team Obama is frustrated and disappointed with Germany as well. From Spiegel online:

Barack Obama's campaign is frustrated over all the vehement discussions about his speech in Berlin on Thursday. SPIEGEL ONLINE has learned that the recent criticism (more...) [see link within story - Drake] took the campaign by surprise and frustrated Obama's advisors. At first many Europeans complained about Obama not coming to Europe, but then the criticism shifted to his keynote address on the trans-Atlantic relationship -- and fears it might lack substance. The reaction has left members of his team frustrated.

    [...]

In an editorial, the International Herald Tribune is demanding greater "sobriety" from Obama. The Economist is complaining of "disquieting signs of a tendency on Mr. Obama's part to tailor his message to whichever audience he is talking to."

Paris and London are already frustrated: The two countries feel neglected because Obama is paying them only brief visits.

Substance? "Lack substance"? Did someone mention Obama lacks substance? Huh! How about that.

And this fine gem:

Obama believes [Germany's Chancellor Angela] Merkel is more influential than French President Nicolas Sarkozy and British Prime Minister Gordon Brown.

Nowhere near the White House and Obama is already alienating our allies France and the UK and their leaders. What hubris...why, it's hubris unbound!

Two other brief points I want to make:

Obama said the war in Afghanistan is important and that the U.S. needs to deploy more Troops there. Besides being a statement that, when said by any Republican, was countered by The Left by calling that person a Warmonger, Obama's policy on increasing Troops in Afghanistan is one which should leave everyone scratching their heads.

One: If Obama thinks Afghanistan is important - and he says it is - then why did he vote against funding the Troops in Afghanistan last year?

Two: I'm no fan of Republican Senator and Presidential Candidate John McCain, but McCain hit one way, waaaaaaaay out of the ballpark saying, "Obama, who does not understand what’s happening in Iraq or fails to acknowledge the success in Iraq, would rather lose a war than lose a campaign
."

We know McCain hit one of those "truth nerves" that the Obama Cult Followers possess because his comment has royally roiled them, they are fit to be tied going absolutely batsh*t crazy over McCain's statement.

Obama is more than willing to lose a war than to lose his campaign.

Ouch! The Truth really hurts when it's true, doesn't it?

Obama Is Bill Clinton's Third Term

Barack Hussein Obama, Junior - as the president - will be nothing more than a third term of Bill Clinton. This is all an Obama presidency offers and if he is elected chances are his term(s) will be far more damaging and harmful to our country, our allies and the entire world.

The Left loves to make the claim that a John McCain presidency will simply be a third term of George W. Bush. But people armed with facts rather than hyperbolic false accusations know that McCain holds views, policies and beliefs far different than those of President Bush.

We've seen Obama before. The last time we saw his candidacy he was white and the former governor of Arkansas. Obama has already had two terms in the White House as Bill Clinton.

We've seen, experienced and somehow managed to live through an Obama presidency in the incarnations of Bill Clinton.

The Left - most of them - loved Bill Clinton from 1992 through January 2001. They loved Clinton after he left the White House. It was only when The Left perceived Bill and Hillary as a threat to Obama that The Left unleashed their rage and hatred onto the Clintons. That The Left turned on one of their own is no surprise, they do this all the time. They cannibalize their own as soon as that person or persons is thought to be rendered useless or departs even slightly from the established course of Marxism.

Obama...Nothing more than Bill Clinton's third term.

Obama tells whatever audience he is speaking to what they want to hear. As a candidate and president, Bill Clinton did the same. He still does.

Obama is inconsistent on his issues, feeling the need to change (flip-flop) and revise his statements and policies of one day, one week, one month or one year ago to something that currently sounds more palatable. Bill Clinton did the same.

Obama speaks in vague and unspecific generalities. Bill Clinton campaigned the same way.

Obama's past and current controversies and actions cannot be examined or questioned by anyone. The Left applied the same "hands-off" standard to Bill Clinton.

Obama claims his campaign is one that is "taking the high" road when it comes to how he handles himself versus McCain. Obama leaves attacking McCain to surrogates. Bill Clinton campaigned in 1992 and 1996 in exactly the same manner using surrogates to attack George H.W. Bush and Bob Dole.

Obama makes promises that no politician can possibly keep. Bill Clinton did the same.

Obama can deliver a good speech when he stays on script or has a teleprompter. Bill Clinton spoke well, in the same manner as a slick used car salesman. (Obama, without a script or teleprompter is a stuttering, bumbling, hmmmmmm'ing and haaaaa'ing, uh-uh-uh'ing fool).

Obama's firends and associates are criminals, lawbreakers, racists, sexists, homophobes, lobbyists and unsavory individuals. Bill Clinton has the same group of friends and associates.

Obama is an articulate con man, one who makes people think he knows what he's talking about. Bill Clinton wrote the book on how to do this.

Obama is full of hubris and arrogance. So was, and still is, Bill Clinton. (Obama's degree of hubris and arrogance makes the hubris and arrogance of John Kerry seem amateurish and substandard).

Obama has the press and the MSM on his side. So did Bill Clinton in 1992 and 1996.

Obama has the Hollywood and glitterati crowd swooning and soiling themselves with glee. Bill Clinton had the same effect on the same crowd.

Obama is sympathetic to terrorists, weak on terrorism and is a cheerleader for the Blame America First crowd. So is Bill Clinton.

Obama disdains the United States Military. So does Bill Clinton.

Obama stands for nothing. So does Bill Clinton.

Obama is beholden to special interest groups. So was - and still is - Bill Clinton.

Obama will be the first black president. Bill Clinton was the first black president. (Actually, historians have more than factually concluded that Warren G. Harding, a Republican, was our first black president).

We've seen Obama before in the likeness of Bill Clinton.

I don't know how any person with the slightest degree of objectivity and impartiality cannot discern that Obama is nothing but a third term of Bill Clinton.

Insanity is defined as doing the same thing over and over and over again, expecting different results each time. This election year The Left is insane over Obama, no different than their insanity over candidate Bill Clinton.

This is why I have, for years, termed the Far Left Liberals and Progressives The Insane Liberal Clown Posse. They are Insane. They are Liberal. They are Clowns. They are a Posse.

Estelle Getty, Rest In Peace

Actress Estelle Getty has died. BBC:

Getty, whose role as the sarcastic pensioner [on television's "Golden Girls" sitcom series] won her an Emmy award, had been suffering from advanced dementia.

Her son, Carl Gettleman, said she was "one of the most talented comedic actresses who ever lived".

Apart from the Golden Girls, Getty's credits included films like Mannequin and Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot.

According to her official website, the actress was born Estelle Scher in the Lower East Side of New York City after her parents emigrated to the US from Poland.

But the actress faced a long struggle for success, working in poorly-paid office jobs to help support her family while she tried to make her big break.

"I knew I could be seduced by success in another field, so I'd say, 'don't promote me, please,"' she later recalled.

After trying her hand at stand-up comedy - later calling it "her biggest mistake" - she began to land a smattering of films and TV roles, including parts in Tootsie and Deadly Force.

But it was The Golden Girls which made her a household name and saw her nominated for an Emmy seven times.

John Edwards And His Love Child

Democrats DID NOT want to believe this story when it first came out. The National Enquirer:

Vice Presidential candidate Sen. John Edwards was caught visiting his mistress and secret love child at 2:40 this morning in a Los Angeles hotel by the NATIONAL ENQUIRER.

The married ex-senator from North Carolina - whose wife Elizabeth continues to battle cancer -- met with his mistress, blonde divorcee Rielle Hunter, at the Beverly Hilton on Monday night July 21 - and the NATIONAL ENQUIRER was there! He didn't leave until early the next morning.

    [...]

...a months-long NATIONAL ENQUIRER investigation had yielded information that Rielle and Edwards, 54, had arranged to secretly meet afterward and for the ex-senator to spend some time with both his mistress and the love child who he refuses to publicly acknowledge as his own.

The NATIONAL ENQUIRER broke the story of Edwards' love child scandal last year, when Rielle was still pregnant and Edwards was still considered a strong candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination.

    [...]

Rielle had reserved rooms 246 and 252 under the name of the friend who had accompanied her from Santa Barbara, Bob McGovern. Rielle was in one room and McGovern was in another with her baby. This allowed her and Edwards to spend time alone, a source revealed.

Edwards went out of the hotel briefly with Rielle, they were observed by the NATIONAL ENQUIRER and then went back to her room, where he stayed until attempting to sneak out of the hotel unseen at 2:40 a.m. (PST). But when he emerged alone from an elevator into the hotel basement he was greeted by several reporters from the NATIONAL ENQUIRER.

Senior NATIONAL ENQUIRER Reporter Alexander Hitchen asked Edwards why he was visiting Rielle and whether he was ready to confirm that he was the father of her baby.

It certainly is nice of John The Sissy Edwards to be boffing some other chick and producing a "love child" while his wife is battling terminal cancer, isn't it?

Why, didn't Edwards spend a lot of time during his presidential campaign talking about "family values"? Who knew he meant "several families with several women and several children" while cheating on his cancer-stricken wife?

Oh, Those Liberals! They're just so full of love and compassion they just can't help themselves!

Remember how this story was blacked-out and shunned by the MSM? The MSM would never do this if Edwards were a Republican. No, if it had been a Republican politician's "love child" that story would have been front and center 24/7.

Remember the accusations from the Left about the divorce(s) of Newt Gingrich or how they treat John McCain or Rudy Giuliani about their divorces? It sure will be interesting to see if The Left treats The Sissy in the same manner and hold him to the same standards that they do Republicans. My guess is they won't (yeah, I'm going out on the edge with that prediction).

Time to apply another set of "blinders" over the "blinders" on the "blinders" The Lefties are already wearing! Dig that hole of hypocrisy and denial just a little bit deeper.

So much for Edwards as a VP for The Obamalith! Bwa ha ha ha! Watching Liberals go out of control is fun!

Twin City Bus Riders Outraged
Over 25 Cent Proposed Increase

Every day brings new levels and forms of insanity from the uber-Liberals.

Last week, the Metropolitan Council (an unelected regulatory board made up of appointees) proposed raising bus fares by 25 cents. Minneapolis Star Tribune (If the link brings you to a "register for free before we let you read the story" page, just search on the post title).

The reaction to the proposed increase? Why, the bus riders are outraged:

At least 20 people in a row came forward with the same theme: You've heard this from everyone who spoke before me, but raising fares is a bad idea.

Opponents of the increase, which would go into effect Oct. 1, include Minneapolis' mayor, social service providers, advocates for greener living and everyday bus riders.

Though they have suggestions on other ways to get the money, they appear unlikely to change the outcome of the Met Council's planned vote on Aug. 13: a fare increase that would provide $7 million toward filling a $15 million deficit in the transit budget.

A second increase of 50 cents would be a possibility next year.

"Twenty-five cents is a big jump when you're paying $1.50 per ride," said Carol Kist, who gets to work in St. Paul on the bus. "If I have to pay 50 cents more a day to go 6 miles to work, it's going to be cheaper for me to drive."

Well Carol Kist, then hop into your car and DRIVE! But remember, driving your car is what the Liberals say is killing the environment and contributing to so-called global warming.

It's funny, it is. Minnesota is one of the most heavily taxed states in the nation. The politicians here think nothing of raising income taxes, property taxes, business taxes, licensing fees and other levies. They say doing so is what gives us our "high quality of living." (Cough, cough, hack, hack).

But oh Good Christ Almighty, propose raising the bus fares and you are purely wicked and evil.

Minnesota State Senator John Marty - (ahem...) - a Democrat (and a very liberal one at that), proposes reducing all bus fares to no more than 25 cents. TC Daily Planet:

What if we tried a bold new approach to transit and transportation issues? Imagine what would happen if we reduced all transit fares to 25 cents per ride. Experience from around the country shows that ridership would soar. The biggest problem with such a change would be that Minnesota’s transit systems would be unable to handle all the passengers.

Yeah, that's bold. Very bold. His logic that the transit system wouldn't be able to handle all the passengers, at best that's simply pure speculation on his part.

I wonder
who would be responsible for paying the difference if all fares were reduced to only 25 cents? Well, Senator Marty has the answer:

...the public already pays well over three-fourths of the cost of the transit system, so lower fares take away only a small portion of the revenue.

Ya gotta love the Liberals, so unashamed to demand more from taxpayers. "It's only a small portion of revenue." Come on, pony up a few more cents. Please?

Eventually, the "just a little bit more" all adds up. But Liberals never think about this.

Here's a bold idea: raise the bus fare by 25 cents.

I don't understand...a few years ago the Twin Cities Metropolitan area was told by folks like then-Governor Jesse Ventura and others that the answer to all of our transportation problems is investing millions and millions and millions into Light Rail. But it really hasn't seemed to provide much, if any, relief. Those who pitched Light Rail like it was the Holy Grail couldn't have been wrong, could they?
