Peaceful, Non-Violent, Compassionate Liberal Protesters Turn Violent In St. Paul

Huh? Liberal Protesters in St. Paul turned violent and committed acts of vandalism?

Barack Hussein Obama, Junior replied, "those aren't the Peaceful, Non-Violent, Compassionate Liberal Protesters that I knew."

Okay, he didn't say that.

Protesters attacked delegates, smashed windows, punctured car tires and threw bottles . APee:

Protesters attacked delegates, smashed windows, punctured car tires and threw bottles

They wrought havoc by damaging property and setting at least one fire.

    [...]

Five people were arrested for lighting a trash bin on fire and pushing it into a police car[.]

    [...]

200 people from a group called Funk the War noisily staged their own march. Wearing black clothes, bandanas and gas masks, some of their members smashed windows of cars and stores. They tipped over newspaper boxes, pulled a big trash bin into the street, bent the rearview mirrors on a bus and flipped heavy stone garbage bins on the sidewalks.

    [...]

One of them used a screwdriver to puncture the back tire of a limousine waiting at an intersection and threw a wooden board at the vehicle, denting its side. Another hurled a glass bottle at a charter bus that had stopped at an intersection.

Why...they sound like warmongers. But that can't be, because they're Liberals, and Liberals are peaceful, non-violent, compassionate; they engage in intellectual debate and diplomacy...not violent acts. Huh. I must be confused.

Are the Liberal Protesters America's Taliban and America's al-Qaida? Could be! They sure sound like it.

Amy Goodman of radio's propaganda program 'Democracy Now' was arrested. Minnesota Pubic Radio:

One crew in the midst of it was the group from the show Democracy Now! Details are still sketchy, but it's been confirmed that the crew, along with the show's politically outspoken host, Amy Goodman, have been detained. The stated reason seems to be the recent police favorite "probable cause for riot."

Was the 51 year old host really about to start smashing the state? Or was she just in the wrong place at the wrong time? Who knows. You can hear the tape of her arrest here (language advisory! bad words). It's hard to tell what she did, but the crowd freaks out when it happens:

"They're arresting Amy Goodman?" "What are you guys doing!?! You can't arrest Amy Goodman!" "Let her go!" "We love you Amy!"

Heh! Good. I'm glad Amy Goodman (above) was arrested. She's ugly.

The Minneapolis Red Star North Korean Tribune is reporting that at least 56 arrests were made and that the protester crowd numbered around 10,000. Other sources that I heard on "on the hour" radio news updates say the number of protesters between 5,000-8,000.

FOX gives an estimate of between 8,000-10,000 and
reports the number arrested is more than 80 and:

A group of protesters came toward the delegation and tried to rip the credentials off their necks and sprayed them with a toxic substance that burned their eyes and stained their clothes, delegate Rob Simmons told KMSP-TV.

One 80-year-old member of the delegation had to be treated for injuries, and several other delegates had to rinse their eyes and clothing, the station reported.

    [...]

“There were protesters laying on the ground, giving us the finger,” Schoeller, of Baltimore, said. “One got on the bus and ‘thanked’ us profanely, saying ‘Thank you for (expletive) up this country’ or something along those lines.”

    [...]

Organizers anticipated 50,000 protesters but police estimated 8,000 to 10,000.

..."Sprayed delegates with a toxic substance..." and, "...protesters giving us the finger and shouting profanities..." ?

Aren't these, like, you know...the really young, hip, urbane...like, Liberals who...like, never bathe and talk about....you know...peace and like, love and like how the whole world needs to learn how to like, better get along, and adopt policies of non-violence? Aren't they, like, like that?

Huh. I for one am shocked. Not.

Never underestimate a Liberal's well-honed abilities of hypocrisy and practicing double-standards. Never.
