Michelle Obama Now Proud

Michelle Obama says she never has been proud of her country until now. ABC News:

Speaking in Wisconsin today, would-be First Lady Michelle Obama said, "For the first time in my adult lifetime I am really proud of my country. And not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change."

Newsbusters asks:

Doesn't this beg the question, "when did she become an adult"? Yesterday? The question is, will the media pay attention to this gaffe? Probably not much, and that is why the bloggers have to. Will Michelle be this year's Teresa Heinz Kerry?

She never been proud of her country until now? Never?

She isn't proud of her husband's voting record of being pro-baby killing?

She isn't proud of her fellow Democrats who fought against passage of Civil Rights?

She isn't proud that as Attorney General Democrat Robert Kennedy ordered and authorized the wiretapping and illegal surveillance of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr?

She isn't proud of legislation that gave women the right to vote?

She isn't proud that women have equal rights?

She isn't proud that fellow Democrat Robert Byrd from West Virginia was a Klansman?

She isn't proud of fellow Democrat John Kerry saying, "there is no reason, Bob, that young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know, women"?

She isn't proud of fellow Democrat Harry Reid declaring, "we've lost" in Iraq?

She isn't proud of fellow Democrat John Murtha calling U.S. Marines, "murderers"?

She isn't proud of all the anti-American demonstrations by Code Stink, Cindy Sheehan and all other terrorist-friendly Democrats?

She isn't proud of when Bill Clinton was the president? She wasn't proud when Jimmy Cater was the president?

She isn't proud when her husband's fellow U.S. Senator from Illinois DemocRAT Dick Durbin compared the United States Military to, "Nazis, Soviets in their gulags [and] Pol Pot"

She isn't proud when Bill Clinton ignored massacres in Rwanda?

She isn't proud of fellow Democrat Ted Kennedy leaving a woman to drown?

She isn't proud of fellow Democrat Ted Kennedy who authored No Child Left Behind legislation?

She isn't proud of how deftly the Clintons smeared the women who accused Bubba of sexually harassing them?

She isn't proud of a country that donates millions and millions of dollars and supplies to other countries when they experience a disaster like a hurricane, earthquake or tsunami?

She isn't proud of the hatred that is generated by Liberal Talk Radio and the hate-filled Liberal/Progressive side of the blogosphere?

She isn't proud that her fellow Democrat and Illinois citizen John Wayne Gacy was a mass-murdering child-killer?

No wonder Michelle Obama isn't proud.

I think she misspoke. I think she meant that until now she has never been proud of the (her) Democrat political party, her Democrat ideology and her Democrat colleagues. And really, who can blame her for this?

I wouldn't be proud of my party either if I were a Democrat. I'd be ashamed.
