Obama To Combat Vets:
Pay for your own treatment.
Remember...the Pbama Cultists and the Insane Liberal Clown Posse (ILCP) spent the last eight years hating America, hating the president and hating the U.S. Military.
Now, the Pbama Cultists wrap themselves up in the American flag, put on their facade of patriotism, pretend they support the Soldiers and claim that anyone who doesn't support
We learn now that Pbama plans to make combat Veterans pay out of pocket for treatment. Kansas City Star:
The Obama administration is considering a plan to make veterans use private insurance to pay for treatment of combat and service-related injuries.
The proposal would be an about-face on what veterans think is a longstanding pledge to pay for health-care costs that result from their military service.
In a White House meeting Monday, veterans groups apparently failed to persuade President Barack Obama to take the plan off the table.
“Veterans of all generations agree that this proposal is bad for the country and bad for veterans,” said Paul Rieckhoff, executive director of Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America.

Under current policy, veterans are responsible for health-care costs that are unrelated to their military service. Exceptions in some cases can be for veterans without private insurance or who are 100 percent disabled.

“Dead on arrival” is how Democratic Sen. Patty Murray of Washington state described the idea.
“When our troops are injured while serving our country, we should take care of those injuries completely,” Murray, a member of the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee, told a hearing last week. “I don’t think we should nickel-and-dime them for their care.”

The leader of the nation's largest veterans organization says he is "deeply disappointed and concerned" after a meeting with President Obama today to discuss a proposal to force private insurance companies to pay for the treatment of military veterans who have suffered service-connected disabilities and injuries. The Obama administration recently revealed a plan to require private insurance carriers to reimburse the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in such cases. "It became apparent during our discussion today that the President intends to move forward with this unreasonable plan," said Commander David K. Rehbein of The American Legion. "He says he is looking to generate $540-million by this method, but refused to hear arguments about the moral and government-avowed obligations that would be compromised by it."
To Barry McTeleprompter, this is all about money. He has to balance his stimupork, and his funding of the corrupt ACORN, by taking money from combat Veterans.
The best part will be reading what the Pbama Cultists say online. I'm sure they're all taking the same talking points and declaring that making Veterans pay for treatment they receive for afflictions incurred while in combat is a delightfully brilliant idea.

Oh, Theodore, the blogging gig. Damn. If you know anyone looking for someone who can write, who has a degree in journalism, who can write all types of stories (news, feature, sports, etc) and who can write objectively (obviously my blog has a political bent, which doesn't in any way mean I cannot write objectively about politics) by all means let me know. And the autobody work will our back-up plan! ;-)
Sounds like another scheme to eliminate our military by causing less people to volunteer.
But as per usual... I could be jaded.

Bad press, including major mockery of the plan by comedian Jon Stewart, led to President Obama abandoning his proposal to require veterans carry private health insurance to cover the estimated $540 million annual cost to the federal government of treatment for injuries to military personnel received during their tours on active duty.
The President admitted that he was puzzled by the magnitude of the opposition to his proposal.
"Look, it's an all volunteer force," Obama complained..
"Nobody made these guys go to war. They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they whine about bearing the costs of their choice? It doesn't compute...”
"I thought these were people who were proud to sacrifice for their country," Obama continued. "I wasn't asking for blood, just money. With the country facing the worst financial crisis in its history, I'd have thought that the patriotic thing to do would be to try to help reduce the nation's deficit.
I guess I underestimated the selfishness of some of my fellow Americans."

I agree with you, as almost all Liberals and Progressives do, Obama has nothing but disdain for the US Military.
Remember when early on the Clinton Admin used the Military to serve tea at White house parties?
The Left spits on the Military. They will never change.
