Polls Show Most Americans Against ObamaCare

We have learned from The Left that legislation is poll-driven. It's what Americans say to the pollsters that is the method of how we derive law and legislation.

So it should be a no-brainer that Nationalized and Rationed Healthcare - also referred to as OabmaCare - is something a majority of Americans are against.

From the Zogby poll organization:

"By a 50-42 margin, Americans oppose the House of Representatives' bill introduced July 14," said S. Ward Casscells, M.D., vice president of external affairs and public policy and the John Edward Tyson Distinguished Professor in Cardiology at the UT Health Science Center at Houston.

    [...]

According to the survey, which was conducted by Zogby International, most Americans are unwilling to pay higher taxes and instead favor more innovative approaches that would use the savings from improving care and curtailing waste and fraud to fund health care for the uninsured.

    [...]

Key survey findings included that 84 percent of those who are currently insured are satisfied with their health care. For those without insurance, only 46 percent had some level of satisfaction with their health care. Almost 80 percent agreed that rising healthcare costs are hurting American businesses.

A CNN/Opinion Research poll reflects the following:

More than eight in 10 Americans questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corp. survey released Thursday said they're satisfied with the quality of health care they receive.

And nearly three out of four said they're happy with their overall health care coverage.

But satisfaction drops to 52 percent when it comes to the amount people pay for their health care[.]

Okay. Eight in 10 Americans are satisfied with their quality of healthcare, however, it is the area of price and cost of healthcare that some find objectionable. This is perfectly understandable. ObamaCare is certainly NOT going to make healthcare more affordable. It will drive the prices of healthcare and medicine through the roof.

Matt Towery's polling company releases the following data. Townhall:

Consider the response to the question, "What is your opinion of the proposed government-run healthcare program which is currently a part of the U.S. House of Representatives overall healthcare legislation?" Thirty-seven percent of respondents said they favored it, while 52 percent said they were opposed, with 11 percent undecided.

If you want to know why this healthcare proposal is a loser, you need go no further than to the next question we asked. "What level of trust do you have in the federal government's ability to provide and administer an efficient and effective healthcare program?" Only 26 percent said they trust the government to do so. That response is staggering.

Congressional Budget Office Director Douglas W. Elmendorf, testifying before the Senate Budget Committee on ObamaCare said the following. US News:

"the federal budget is on an unsustainable path — meaning that federal debt will continue to grow much faster than the economy over the long run."

Elmendorf said that solving the budget crisis would "require increasing revenues significantly as a percentage of gross domestic product (GDP), decreasing projected spending sharply, or some combination of the two."

It has to be only a short matter of time until Mr. Elmendorf is tossed under the bus by Barack Hussein Obama, Junior and his fellow Marxists.

Comments:
It's another proof that elected politicians don't listen to the public and the massive opinions of the people but instead they'd rather please their good old clique of friends, in this case the extremists leftists that would rather see USA become a backwater instead of standing up proud and tall as USA should be.

That's right Tym. We heard loud and clear from The Left that polls reflect how legislation should be patterned and turned into law. We heard this from The Left for a solid 8 years under Bush.

Now, as usual - they are so predictable - The Left wants nothing to do with polls when polls show the opposite of what The Left wants.

Lib Hypocrisy is so easy to spot. Like a big yellow spot sitting in otherwise completely white snow.
