Glasgow Ends 30-Year Ban on Monty Python's "Life Of Brian"

"All right, but apart from the sanitation, medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, the fresh water system and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us?"

Monty Python's "Life Of Brian" will finally be shown in Glasgow after a 30-year ban. Public Radio International:

The Scottish city of Glasgow will finally be able to see Monty Python’s “Life of Brian” on the screen now that a 30-year ban has been lifted.

Monty Python's "Life of Brian" was released 30 years ago, but not in some cities, among them, Glasgow. The wise men in the Scottish city considered the film blasphemous, what with its story about a Jewish man who was mistaken for the Messiah. But the prayers of Monty Python fans have now been answered. Councilors in Glasgow have ended the ban.

"Blessed are the cheesemakers".

This is too hilarious. I'm still wondering if this is some kind of "The Onion"-esque trickery or whatnot. If no, enjoy the movie! Maybe "Spamalot" will soon follow

Those poor people in Glasglow who had to wait to see it. I wonder if was banned in VHS and DVD form as well? Well, they can finally see it on the Big Screen, as it should be.
