Captured U.S. Soldier Says bring us home; we're wasting our lives in Afghanistan.
The American soldier who went missing June 30 from his base in eastern Afghanistan and was later confirmed to have been captured, appeared on a video posted Saturday to a Web site by the Taliban, two U.S. defense officials said.
The soldier is shown in the 28-minute video with his head shaved and the start of a beard. He is sitting and dressed in a nondescript, gray outfit. Early in the video one of his captors holds the soldier's dog tag up to the camera. His name and ID number are clearly visible. He is shown eating at one point and sitting on a bed.
The soldier said the date is July 14. He says he was captured when he lagged behind on a patrol.
He is interviewed in English by his captors, and he is asked his views on the war, which he calls extremely hard, his desire to learn more about Islam and the morale of American soldiers, which he said was low.
Asked how he was doing, the soldier said on the video:
"Well I'm scared, scared I won't be able to go home. It is very unnerving to be a prisoner."
He is also prompted his interrogators to give a message to the American people.
"To my fellow Americans who have loved ones over here, who know what it's like to miss them, you have the power to make our government bring them home," he said. "Please, please bring us home so that we can be back where we belong and not over here, wasting our time and our lives and our precious life that we could be using back in our own country. Please bring us home. It is America and American people who have that power."
I can and will blame The Liberals for the capture of this Soldier. No wonder American Troop morale is low. All they've heard for almost six years from The Liberals is that America is to blame for EVERYTHING, that the conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan is "wrong" and "illegal" and that we are attempting to do "nation-building" via American Imperialism.
If the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are so goddamn wrong and illegal - as the Liberals say - then why the hell didn't Barack Hussein Obama, Junior immediately withdraw every single Soldier from the area beginning January 21 of this year? He could have. As a candidate he promised he would. But then he didn't, did he? "Just words...." more lies...from The Kenyan.
Liberals make it a point to dehumanize and demoralize anyone who disagrees with them. Hitler and the Nazis excelled at dehumanizing people, too. The Liberals are the same as Nazis.
We have Chickenhawk Obama who has NO MILITARY EXPERIENCE AT ALL along with Herr Joe Biden who received FIVE deferments from Vietnam for his allegedly suffering from asthma, though it never impeded his ability from playing strenuous sports.
And not a peep, not one little protesting peep, from The Pbama Cultists and the Insane Liberal Clown Posse (ILCP) over Obama's Surge in Afghanistan and his Illegal Occupation of Afghanistan.
Keep castrating, emasculating and feminizing the Military, Liberals. The Liberals forced Rules of Engagement on the U.S. Military that no Military should have to put up with. Liberals and Progressives are Cowards, Pacifists and Appeasers.
Where's Barry with a statement telling the Taliban "you will pay dearly" if you harm one hair on the captured soldier's head? Where is The Kenyan? He's probably too busy shooting hoops, smoking crack or dining on Wagyu steak to be bothered with the actual details of a captured Soldier. It's beneath his pay level.
How long before Malia and Sasha Obama become legal age to serve in the Military? Remember, it was The Left who constantly said "why aren't the Bush daughters serving in the Military." On their 18th birthdays I expect to see Malia and Sasha entering boot camp.
