Protesting Obama's Iraq War
The story is here, but the link may or may not sustain - meaning it may bring you to a page requesting that you register (for free) before reading the full story. If that happens and you don't want to register, search Google or the MRSNKT web site) on the story title and writer: Protesters in St. Paul mark Iraq war anniversary, by Mary Jane Smetanka.
Here are some choice excerpts:
"[The war] is not in the news anymore, and people are giving Obama a pass. Obama is still for war," said [Kristin Dooley, Minneapolis, a member of the Iraq Peace Action Coalition].
[...]
[Lucia Wilkes Smith, of Minneapolis, a member of Women Against Military Madness] said she can't understand why more people don't vocally oppose the war. [ I'll tell you why, Ms. Smith...it's because there's a Liberal in the White House now. - Drake ]
[...]
[Minnesota National Guard member Raymond Camper] said he campaigned for Obama but disagrees with the president's position that phased withdrawal of troops is necessary to prevent chaos in Iraq.
"I believe destabilization will happen regardless of when we leave."
Another protest veteran, Gary North of Minneapolis, said that people are mistaken if they assume the new administration will "do the right thing."
Real Anti-War protesters (as opposed to the Pbama Cultists Posing as Anti-War) are holding the Messyiah to the same standard that they held to W. Bush. They cannot be faulted in any way, their protestations are applied equally.
The problem exists only with the Pbama Cultists. For several years they have demanded the immediate withdrawal of U.S. Troops. For several years they have demanded redeployment out of Iraq "now." Now means now, not tomorrow, not next week, not next year.
Years 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004 and 2003 all came and went with cries of "immediate withdrawal now," from those who now comprise the Pbama Cult. The slack they cut for their False Prophet is mind-boggling. Their denial so wretchedly deep, they do not see the New Hitler before their eyes.
It's amazing how generous the Cultists are with Pbama's timetable for withdrawing from Iraq. It's longer than his original plan and it's certainly much longer than his repeated campaign rhetoric of "withdraw now."

All your blog does is ramble on and on. There really is no evidence or backing. You are just assuming that Obama can not do anything right and you just insult him and call him childish nicknames.

Yes, I am indeed making the presumption that The Kenyan will not do anything right. Exactly.
I know we're going to have troops in Iraq until 2011 and likely beyond that. That isn't exactly what The Kenyan said as a candidate, though, is it?
Why is it Liberals can diss and smear Republicans with impunity but when the same standard is applied to a Liberal, people like you recoil and whine?
I know you'll never return to answer these questions:
Did you vote for Obama in 2008?
Who did you vote for in 2004 and 2000?
Do you hold accountable all the Democrats who are on record from 1998-2000 - Bill Clinton, Pelosi, Hillary, Kerry et al - saying "Saddamn Hussein is seeking WMDs and nuclear weapons." - Because they set the stage, Jeff. They set the intelligence standards.
Yes I do insult Pbama and call him names. The Left has never done anything like that, have they?
How deep is the double-speak. Does he really have evil intentions? That's what Alex Jones purports in his new movie:
