Leave It To Beaver Barry
-Training Barack Hussein Pbama, Junior
Afghan President Hamid Karzai critical of U.S. and Pbama in civilian deaths. BBC:
Afghan President Hamid Karzai critical of U.S. and Pbama in civilian deaths.
Mr Karzai said most of those killed were civilians, adding that such deadly incidents strengthened Taleban rebels and weakened Afghanistan's government.
Women and children were among those killed, Mr Karzai said.
The strike was the first controversy in Afghanistan involving US troops since US President Barack Obama took office.
NATO Soldier killed and death count debated. M&C:
...a provincial lawmaker and local villagers said that 21 Afghan civilians were killed in the operation.
...the verbal attacks have become sharper, more frequent and more clearly aimed at Muslim audiences.
On Jan. 6, Zawahiri issued a message calling for a global jihad by Muslims to counter Israel's military campaign in Gaza. He then sought to frame the Israeli assault as a "link in the chain of the crusade against Islam and Muslims," with then-President-elect Obama at the head of the chain.
"These raids are Obama's gift to you before he takes office," the Egyptian-born Zawahiri said in the message, addressed to "Muslim brothers and mujaheddin."
"This is Obama, whom the American machine of lies tried to portray as the rescuer who will change the policy of America," Zawahiri said, according to a translation provided by Site Intelligence Group, a private company that monitors jihadist communications.
Days before Obama's inauguration, al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden chimed in with a mocking prediction that the new president would founder under the weight of the military and financial burdens he would inherit. No matter what he tried to do, Obama would ultimately lose, bin Laden said on Jan. 14.
"If he withdraws from the war, it is military defeat," he said in an audiotaped message. "And if he continues it, he drowns in economic crisis. How can it be that [Bush] passed over to him two wars, not one war, and he is unable to continue them? We are on our path to open other fronts, with permission from Allah."
Friday, a new al-Qaeda salvo attempted to embarrass Obama, a day after the new president announced his plans for closing the prison at Guantanamo Bay. Appearing on the videotaped message were two men who enlisted in al-Qaeda after being freed from that detention center.
Scrubbing Pbamaubbles. Pbama Powered!
Pbama scrubs web site of his Chicago, Federal Plaza/Hyde Park October 30, 2002 anti-Iraq war speech:
Obama's plan was quite different two years ago.
"The days of our open-ended commitment must come to a close," Obama said in his speech. "It is time for us to fundamentally change our policy. It is time to give Iraqis their country back."
[...]
The Obama plan, called the Iraq War De-escalation Act of 2007, would begin a troop withdrawal no later than May 1, 2007[.]
From the Left-Friendly The Nation from February 2008:
Obama's previous position favored an American combat troop withdrawal over a sixteen-to-eighteen-month timeframe. He has been less specific on the number and mission of any advisers he would leave behind.
"When it comes to the war in Iraq, the time for promises and assurances, for waiting and for patience, is over. Too many lives have been lost and too many billions of dollars have been spent, for us to trust the president on another tired and failed policy," [ said Obama, January, 2007].
The Left told us the war in Iraq was over after toppling Saddam Hussein. Then The Left said it was over after the establishment of the Iraq Parliament. "Get out of Iraq now, our work there is done," said The Left.
Why are we still there? Why hasn't Barry started reducing U.S. Troops in Iraq? After all, The Left told us it was an illegal occupation and a war for oil under Bush. It must be the same thing under Pbama, right?
From AlterNet (hardly Right of Center), November 5, 2008: [Obama's] plan will leaves tens of thousands of U.S. Troops in Iraq.
Pbama plan leaves tens of thousands of U.S. Troops in Iraq? Are his Cultists aware of this? Why, quick, someone tell them this! This should outrage them, especially the Cultists Bloggers who've spent the last four and five years with multiple-head explosions insisting that we immediately withdraw from Iraq in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.
Why so quiet out there on your part, Cultists? Why so quiet?
As if the above war-related issues aren't enough, the market saw a 4Q free-fall, "Worst quarter since early 1980s, and more to come."
And on which issue(s) is Barry spending and focusing his time? A pissing contest with Rush Limbaugh.
That's nice Barry, a word of wars with Limbaugh which gives your Cultists Red Meat, which distracts them - but not the rest of us - who know you're a fraud, clueless and in way over your head.
Lastly, according to the HuffPuffPoo (so it has to be true) Obama's plan to ban "torture" does nothing in closing a loophole of resorting to torture in extreme cases. This means Pbama can order and allow the torturing of a suspect. In other words, this is the same policy as Bush. I'm certain the Pbama Cultists must be outraged.
