Pelosi And Reid's Divisive Nature:
No Oil And Bush A Jerk

Democrat Speakeress of The House Nanny Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader have both gone off the deep end. Far, far, far off the deep end. I'm not a trained medical professional, but I would diagnose both as being clinically deranged. Neither of them have the best interests of Americans at heart, they never have, they never will.

Reid, speaking about President George W. Bush said:

    "He's got a 29 percent approval rating."

Is Reid aware of the July's Rasmussen Poll that shows the approval of Congress at a mere 9 percent? That's not a misprint, Congress has an approval rating of n-i-n-e percent.

Bush has approval ratings three times better than those of Congress. Harry must not be capable of doing the most simple of mathematical equations.

The Delirious Harry Reid

Nanny, in supporting the Democrat position of not drilling for domestic oil, cited a 1969 oil spill off the coast of Santa Barbara, California as reason not to drill off our coastal shores. IHT:

"We learned the hard way that oil and water do not mix on our coast," Pelosi told a key committee in 1996 as she made her case for keeping the ban in place before a Congress then controlled by Republicans.

Her reasoning and justification of using an oil spill in 1969 as logic to never drill offshore is no different than saying that no human habitat and no development should have ever occupied the San Francisco area because of the 1906 earthquake.

1969? That was 39 years ago. I wonder Nanny is aware of how much technology has advanced in the past 39 years? I wonder if Nanny is still using a rotary dial telephone and if she has to change the channel on a television set by physically moving a dial on the television? ?

I wonder if oil and energy companies are using the exact same technology in oil exploration and drilling that they used in 1969? Nanny apparently thinks so, in her mind nothing has changed since then. Remember, this the woman who, after taking office as Speakeress in January 2007, demanding a huge, fuel-consuming jet liner as her travel perk for her personal use. She should have been given a prop plane manufactured in 1969 since that is the year in which she seems to be stuck.

Pelosi also said of President Bush that he is...

"...a total failure, losing all credibility with the American people on the economy, on the war, on energy, you name the subject," Pelosi replied. She then tsk-tsked Bush for "challenging Congress when we are trying to sweep up after his mess over and over and over again."

Other than the meaningless increase in the minimum wage, can anyone name one piece of significant legislation passed by the 110th Congress? One piece of legislation. One piece?

Oh, Nanny made sure the Congress cafeteria catered to a more refined palate eliminating meatloaf for mahi mahi and lamb with almond couscous from the menu, but what does this do for average Americans, rising prices and the cost of gasoline? Not a damn thing.

The IHT story notes that Blue Dog Democrats support drilling for oil in ANWR and off the coasts. This should tell us something, namely that even the Blue Dogs "get it" when it comes to energy and oil. But the Insane Liberal Clown Posse with leaders Nanny and Harry - nope, they don't get it. They are Elitists.

The Delirious Nanny Peloshit

Here's a brief refresher from what I wrote on on April 27, 2007:

The price for a gallon of unleaded gasoline in January 2001 when George W. Bush took his oath of office was $1.46.

The price for a gallon of gas when the Republicans lost their majority in November 2006 was $2.19.

The price for a gallon of gas in January 2007, when the Democrat Majority and Speakeress Nanny Pelosi were sworn into office, was $2.30.

The average price for a gallon of gas today is around $3.50.

The above is what I wrote this past April. A gallon of gasoline today averages around $4 per gallon.

So, from when Bush took office in January 2001 to January 2007 when the Democrats were sworn into office - six years years later - the price per gallon increased by .73 cents, or an increase of .12 cents per year.

From January 2001 to January 2007 - six years - the price of gasoline of gasoline increased by .73 cents or .12 cents per year.

From January 2007 when Nanny and Harry and the Democrats took the majority to July 2008 the price of a gallon of gas has increase $1.70!

In January 2007 the price of a barrel of oil was around $50. Today, a mere 19 months later, the price has almost tripled under a Democrat Congress.

Monday, April 24, 2006 from from Nanny Pelosi's own website:

“Democrats have a commonsense plan to help bring down skyrocketing gas prices by cracking down on price gouging, rolling back the billions of dollars in taxpayer subsidies, tax breaks and royalty relief given to big oil and gas companies, and increasing production of alternative fuels.”

Nice and typical rhetoric from Pelosi, but completely lacking facts. There is no price gouging, not now, not in the past. Please point to one single Congressional investigation on the issue of price gouging in the entire history of Democrats grandstanding on this issue that proved price gouging? And while we're at it, let's remove all financial incentives to oil companies to explore for more oil and see if the price of a gallon of gas increases or decreases. I wonder which way prices would go if we did that. That's a puzzler.

The production of alternative fuels such as ethanol has increased. What has it done to lower the price of gasoline? Of course, no farmer or corporation would be manufacturing ethanol or alternative energy without government subsidies, tax breaks and royalty relief. Is anyone seeing a decrease in the cost of gasoline or diesel because of this? Has increased production of alternative fuels reduced or increased the costs of food and all other everyday items that travel to your local grocery or department via trucks?

We could fill the Senate with 100 horses, as Caligula allegedly did with his horse Incitatus in the Roman Senate and we could fill the 438 House seats with monkeys. I don't know that they could do any worse than the current Congress.

Those top two images freak me out. It looks like the "Black Hole Sun" video which gives me the willies.

Thanks!

Listened to her childish response... even had to make my own comments and own little picture (although my talents in picture alteration is far from yours).

She's acting like a little kid "well... so what if no one likes me... he's... he's... he has... errr... bad breath".

She's insulting.

Two Dogs,

Nanny and Harry's pupils are all diluted from the sticky, sweet skunk ganja they been puffing! ;-)

Bug, you are welcome - as are other blog freinds - to reproduce my images. I have no prob with this as long as the are "as is" meaning unaltered. I ran across a blog that used one of my images and cropped off my URL, and while its not like I got angry over it, it was lame and I let them know it.

Pelosi is a fraud, Bug. So is Harry. So are most libs. They are beholden and owned by the hardcore LeftTards. They are hijacking the Democrat party that once belonged to my parents and grandparents, the Dems of the JFK era. And in many ways, that;s a shame JFK wouldn't recognize his own party if her were alive today.

The Democrat Party has been changing for a while now... but, for me, it's been a real sudden slap in the face. I remember how my mother and step dad would always cancel each others vote out (she rep and he dem). But by no means was he "liberal" in the term it is today. He felt that the Democrats were for the little guy... to keep the rich folks from taking his small share of a grand pie. Today, they are back stabbers who continue to keep racism alive and keep the little guy very, very little while pick pocketing him with a reach around and smiling largely in his face. It's a sad, sad party today.

Thanks David... I will borrow your pictures and give credit where credit is due. I did create the one of my own but all I did was take a picture from the internet and add words; very original... very hard to do. :o)

Yes... as I've said, my step father who is no longer with us, would probably switch over to the Replicans or just not vote; and that's saying a lot for that man.

Bug,

Grabbing images and adding captions is where it all starts. In no time you would master pho-shopping or ??? I forget the other big name brand software that does the same as Pho-shop. There's many out there, some maybe even freeware. Surf around and see what's there. Download.com is a fine place to find 'safe' freeware, but make sure you read the user reveiws.

Agree that today's Dem party isn't the party of our parents or grandparents. No doubt about it.

It's sad when bad things(liberalism)hapen to good people(my mother.)

What do you mean Arc? Explain.

Mom turned from Right to Left?

My mother is one of those poor souls poisoned by Femi Nazi’s…
Her parents were Kennedy Democrats, and she kind of went hippy kind of bought into Gloria Steinem…
Then got polarized by the Clintons and you can’t even talk to her anymore. It makes me sad sometimes…
Also as a side note I composed this in Word 2003 and when I spell checked it found and corrected Femi Nazi

Arc,

Got'cha. Much better understood.

My mom is (and as was my late dad -style Democrats for the most part. JFK Dems, if you want to identify it a bit more, tho I do believe that my dad voted for Dole over Clinton in 1996, my dad voting for the War Veteran over the Draft Dodger.

The Far Left has hi-jacked the party and the Moderate/JFK Dems either don;t seem to care or don't want to fight. I don't get it.

That's funny that Word 2003 would recognize and correctly spell Femi Nazi!
