Pretty Paper

The legendary, late, great Roy Orbison's "Pretty Paper" set to images.

the lyrics to this song are actually rather sad and depressing.

Merry Christmas, btw

There is a sad/depressing quality to it, indeed, EC. You are correct. It's too bad that this time of year does find many people who do feel sad and depressed. I can understand their feelings. It's a beautiful song and I don't know if you saw the video below by Queen, "Thank God It's Christmas" where I wrote that IMHO the finest voices in rock and music are Freddie Mercury and Roy Orbison. I don't if anyone else could really pull off "Pretty Paper."

Wait, I take that back. Willie Nelson covered "Pretty Paper" and does it full justice. The only exception I'd make is I think Roy has a better voice than Willie, but I like Willie's music a lot.

Merry Christmas to you too, and a Happy New Year!
