Wikipedia For Idiots, Or:
Duuuuuuuuh Uhhhhh, Really?!

Please note the following regarding a theatrical movie of the TV series "24" from an entry at Wikipedia:

    24: The Movie

    Main article: 24: The Movie

Kiefer Sutherland has confirmed that 24: The Movie is in the pipeline, and the show's creators have already started working on the script. It should be noted that the film would be a two-hour representation of a 24-hour day, not an actual 24-hour-long film as this would be financially straining on production and impossible to show in theaters.

Duuuuuhh Uhhhhhh, fucking really?!?!

If you believe that a "24" theatrical film would last an actual 24 hours long, please do everyone a favor and jump in front of a speeding semi-truck. Thank you.

Comments:
I'm guessing they set it like that, since the series "gimick" is to be approximately 24 hours long, and be filmed in real time. I wouldn't imagine one film in that case, but rather several films that are released over, say, a year time frame.

I don't disagree with you, but that's not what the writer wrote at Wikipedia:

"It should be noted that the film would be a two-hour representation of a 24-hour day, not an actual 24-hour-long film as this would be financially straining on production and impossible to show in theaters."

One would have to be...um, rather dense, to think a movie of "24" could last 24 hours, let alone the production costs of making a film that length.

I realize some sites have to write for the lowest common denominator, but the above is really, really pushing the limit, don't you think?
