Liberal St. Paul Mayor Coleman Proposes Tax Hike
St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman, elected in January 2006, proposes an 8.5 percent hike on property taxes. A week earlier, Ramsey County had suggested an increase of 5 percent.
Huh - imagine that. Coleman is in office just seven months and BOOM - proposes a tax hike. WHAT TOOK 'YA SO LONG?
Not to worry though. The city has it's own Poet Laureate. That makes it all worthwhile, doesn't it, St. Paulites?
Mayor Coleman: "Tax and Spend and Tax and Spend....C'mon, sing along with me, it's fun and you'll like it if you try, I promise ! Wheeeeeeee.....Tax and Spend and Tax and Spend Other People's Money.....Wheeeeeeeeee!"
