Drunken Duluth Democrat Mayor: "Don't call the police."

Duluth, MN Mayor, DEMOCRAT Herb "One More For The Road" Bergson, after crashing his car into a guard rail asked:
It must be noted that the drunken mayor had planned to drive to Chicago in his intoxicated state. To Chicago! What a shining example for someone elected to uphold the law, huh?

Bergson's blood alcohol level won't be available for at least two weeks, Trooper Anthony DeSteffano said.

Two weeks? Why is that? Is this some type of preferential treatment to an elected official? Was Herbie The Drunk Bug required to take the Breath-a-Lyzer, and if so, why aren't the results of that immediate test available?

I wonder...I wonder...if an ordinary citizen would be treated a bit more harshly if they had said "don't call the police." Shouldn't we hold officials to a Higher Standard in cases like this?

Well, at least he wasn't driving on a bridge over a body of water.
