Obama's Embarrassing Olympic Failure

Dear Leader His Excellency Barack Hussein Obama, Junior and wife Michelle Pickles "The Dangerous Washerwoman" both traveled to Copenhagen and begged for their "hometown" of Chicago to be named the city hosting the 2016 Olympic Games.

Both Hussein and Pickles The Dangerous Washerwoman were snubbed! Bwa ha ha! The NY Times:

One oft-heard argument in favor of Barack Obama’s presidential candidacy was that he would help restore the image of America abroad, tarnished as it was by the Bush administration’s unilateralism. Indeed, the pollsters have even found quantitative proof that the president has achieved that goal. So, one is tempted to ask, why is that back in the height of the Bush presidency in 2005, New York at least made it to the second round of voting in its bid to host the 2012 Olympic Games, yet on Friday, despite the personal efforts of not just the First Family but Oprah as well, Chicago didn’t even clear the first hurdle?

    [...]

...the rejection of Chicago as the site of the 2016 Summer Olympics despite the president’s personal lobbying junket to Copenhagen in order to plead the city’s case before a meeting of the International Olympic Committee,” writes Rick Moran at Pajamas Media. Then, naturally, he goes on to read a great deal into it: “He placed the prestige of his presidency directly on the line and failed. That’s the bottom line.["]

    [...]

Commentary’s Jennifer Rubin is going to pile on:

Obama received a nasty rebuff and a stern reminder that the rest of the world doesn’t necessarily care what he thinks. Chicago is out of the Olympics bidding process–in the first round. Why did Obama invest so much personal capital and time for this? Well, he simply can’t help himself. It’s the same force of ego that drives him on to those TV talk shows again and again and that imagines that a grand speech with no content and no appeal outside his base will be a game changer on health-care reform.

It’s also another reminder that, apparently, there isn’t anyone influential enough in the White House to keep the president from embarrassing himself. No one to say, “Enough with the talk shows.” No one to explain that presidents should not invest their personal credibility and standing to beg the IOC on behalf of his hometown. No one, unfortunately, to direct him back to the job of making timely, forceful decisions to defend America’s real interests.

Well...he's the Celebrity Prednint. There's no substance in him, just a false facade. He can't even pull off an "I feel your pain," moment. At least Bubba could fake that, especially when he added the biting of his lower-lip.

And embarrassing himself he did. Oh, how he did. I guess the Whole Wide World still doesn't love us, even with a Black Bi-racial man who stole the White House. Tears, crying and gnashing of teeth emanate from The Pbama Cultists over this. Don't you just love it?

It seems Pbama has nothing more important on his To-Do list than lobbying for a U.S. city to host an Olympic event. No wars to worry or be concerned about. No economic or unemployment issue to concern himself with. No other important or pressing issues. Well...as I said, he is the Celebrity Prednint.

Are the Blind Obedient Pbama Cultists blaming Dick Cheney for the IOC embarrassing their beloved Cult Leader being made out to look like the low-level, disrespected, election-stealing Kenyan Chicagoan that he is?

I'd imagine so.

Congratulations, Mr. Cheney. Somehow, you are the Man Behind the Curtain who is still foiling The Kenyan that stole the White House.

I've always said Barry is Special. Just like in the Olympics.

I especially love this one. What else is there to be said? Going to talk show and all the glamour from going to Coppenhaggen isn't part of the job of being the USA president nor is it on the to-do list as if there was nothing on that list at all except going to Leno degrading the special olympic games or going to David "I screwed all my cast and made fun of it" Letterman claiming that he is a black man with a big smile on his face.

In these hard time, the last thing USA needed was a rock star as a president. What will it need before Stupidamerica realized that? Another 9-11? People dying on the streets? Major riots? What else?

Barrack Obama is NOT up to the job and as it appears from the first 9 months, he will NEVER be up to the job. Are the cultist listening or what? Are they too brainwashed to apply critical judgement?

And as far as blaming Bush for everything...get over it already. Only the losers blame the others for their own personal failures. Obama thought going to Coppenhagen would be a walk in the park and give him the momentum to shove down the throat of America his health care reform that nobody wants and nobody asks for just like Michael Jordan would have gone to collegial basketball to win a tournament for some college kids in Chicago but instead the table turned against him and now he has to answer for that failure too as if he did not have enough home.

Is there something in the world Obama can't fail? Let's try some "national" darts tournament bid for oldies in Chicago and see how he can fail that up too.

TM

PS: A reply on my blog on this article would be definitely appreciated too.

My first reaction was:
bwahahahah!

I coulnd't believe it. First round? FIRST ROUND?!! Oh man!

Those OIC guys are all a bunch of racist, redneck, Bible-clinging right wing extremists!!!
How dare they deny THE ONE His "request"/demand?
I repeat:
bwahahahahahahaaaaaaah!

I just had an accident last Wednesday, and my knee was a bit hurt, but this information makes my recovery better!

Thank You LORD JESUS!! :-)

(PS: In no way I am trying to be disrespectful to Chicagoans who honestly wanted this to happen in there. MY point is only against Odumbo's arrogance in thinking that his light was enough to clear the way all the way to Chicago. He lost. As Matt Drudge said "Ego has landed!")

Dave, as you know, brazialians as portuguese speak the same lingo. Hence, this was also good news for us in POrtugal, specially since we have in here a huge and mostly hard working brazilian community. So I am TWICE happy for this. hehe

Anyway , God bless.

PS-2 -> Brazil mocks Odumbo

Obama is not up to the job, never was, never will be. I agree, Tym.

I agree with you that he thought everyone would fawn all over him and blindly confirm his pitch for Chicago. That the IOC didn't, and eliminated it in the first round is most telling.

Mats,

Sorry about the knee. Hope you heal up quickly. Humor helps healing, so the Obama story was well-timed for you? Well, I guess we can credit the Kenyan for that, huh?!?

I know you're not being disrespectful to Chicago. It's simply a matter of taking delight in the Karma thats come back around to Pbama.

I'm glad for Brazil and Rio, too. It's a wonderful selection and setting. No doubt the Olympics there will be spectacular.

@DD,

"I'm glad for Brazil and Rio, too. It's a wonderful selection and setting. No doubt the Olympics there will be spectacular."

Besides, it is going to be the first time that South America receives the Olympic games.

It would have been nice that USA got the Olympic games notwithstanding Obama's implication (bribing tentative) in the file, once again but they already had those of Salt Lake City and Los Angeles lately not to mention Olympic winter games in Lake Placid. Therefore, it is only time for the US to hand out the Olympic flame to another country.

Regards,

TM

Spot on, Tym!

Obama is a joke and an embarassement not only to the USA but to the whole world especially the countries that should be friends with the USA: the democratic ones.

Even our leftist canadian French medias can't even hide it anymore:

http://www.cyberpresse.ca/opinions/editorialistes/jean-pascal-beaupre/200910/02/01-907966-lula-eclipse-obama.php

If you can translate that one, that's really worth it considering that this very important "institutional" newspaper has brainwashed us nothing but pro-Pbama balone since almost 2 years now.

You are correct Tym as always... Barry is a joke.

Google Translate does a pretty good job of butchering French into English. I'm not sure how good it is at going the other way as my French skills have long since faded. My bad as with only a little more effort, I could have been fluent. I guess it's not too late to try again.

The article is critical of Barry, but not severely so and it gets a little apologetic at the end where it states that this is not to be seen as an embarrassing defeat for the US and of course BO by implication. That is where I disagree. The loss of the 2016 Olympics is an embarrassing defeat for the US in the current socioeconomic climate, though it's not that the US deserved to host the Olympics anyway. But really, it is a huge defeat for BO and it is the first of many as BO campaigns to unseat Jimmah as the worst POTUS ever. Suck on it Barry. Suck on it.

hey, I still laugh at this. Am I being evil? :P

hehe

Mats,

Thank you Mats, glad you like it.

No, you are not being evil. You're just enjoying a good laugh. If anyone is guilty of bad taste, it would be me, not you for laughing.

And I've never claimed anywhere on this blog to not at times be guilty of bad taste or sophomoric and juvenile humor.
