One Hit News

The World's Most powerful atom-smasher. Prague Post:

A fascinating article:

...buried beneath this bucolic Swiss canton and extending well into France is the biggest traffic circle of them all: the 27-kilometer-long Large Hadron Collider (LHC), the most powerful particle accelerator ever built, set to come online Sept. 10. The launch of the multibillion-euro machine is expected to receive much fanfare, including live coverage on Eurovision.

Rather than avoiding collisions, the LHC exists for one reason: to smash subatomic particles together as fast as we can and as hard as we can, to see what happens next.

Alice, short for “A Large Ion Collider Experiment,” is one of several gigantic experiments arrayed along the length of the LHC’s track[.]

...the full circuit court ruled 6-5 that neither the festival association nor the city could be held liable, because the association is not a state actor, and the city merely enforced a private entity's rights.

Obama blows. Where is Hillary to save the day? We need a real candidate in this election. This is in regard to the flag blog, not this one, David.

Two Dogs, something like that, yeah.

Nick, whatever happened to Al Gore? Many Dems were convinced he would run.

"The planet has a fever." That did him in. LOL! Plus I think he is in Antarctica right now measuring a glacier and trying to save a drowning polar bear.

Although, I do agree that global warming is happening, it's ridiculous to say that the planet has a fever as if it were a living creature. Maybe it is though. There are weirder things out there.

You think Al's planet fever is what put an end to his political future? Maybe.
