Jim Marzilli, Another Democrat Pervert
State Senator James Marzilli has been admitted to a psychiatric hospital, two days after being charged with making lewd comments to two women and attempting to grope one of them.
Marzilli also issued a statement today saying he would not seek re-election this fall to the Senate seat he won in a special election last December.
A lawyer for the Arlington Democrat confirms that Marzilli has been admitted to a hospital for treatment of an undisclosed illness. [My, what a convenient time to check into Looney Tunes Central for an illness, just after being charged with making lewd comments and sexual advances. What an amazing coincidence! - Drake].
A source close to Marzilli told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity that Marzilli was seeking treatment at McLean Hospital, a psychiatric hospital in Belmont. [I bet McLean Hospital has nice padded rooms and Cuckoo Clocks! "Paging Nurse Ratched, paging Nurse Ratched."- Drake].
The 50-year-old Marzilli was arrested in Lowell Tuesday on several charges including disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, assault and battery and obstruction of justice. He was released on $1,500 after pleading not guilty at his arraignment.
Massachusetts Democratic Senator James Marzilli was arrested Tuesday afternoon for allegedly assaulting a woman. He was charged with attempting to commit a crime, simple assault and battery, and resisting arrest.
The 50-year-old allegedly approached a woman who was sitting on a park bench. He made an “inappropriate comment” before allegedly attempting to touch her in a sexual way. The woman resisted Marzilli and called police.
When police approached the senator, he reportedly gave them a false name and ran from officers. He was arrested and taken to jail. Marzilli was released on $1,500 bail.
Marzilli’s lawyer, Terrence Kennedy, says his client “completely and totally denies” the “ridiculous” allegations.
This is not the first time that Marzilli has been accused to assaulting a woman. Last April, a woman accused him of indecent assault.
