Two MN National Guard Killed In Iraq

The Department of Defense announced late this morning the deaths of two Minnesota National Guard Soldiers serving as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Spec. Corey J. Rystad, 20, of Red Lake Falls, and Spec. Bryan T. McDonough, 22, of Maplewood, Minn. were both killed in combat.

Our prayers and thoughts go out for these two fine, upstanding men, their families and their friends.

Thank you for Your Service and Bravery to your Country, Spec. Rystad and Spec. McDonough.
